Mahomes isn't retiring. Allen needs his Pat Riley and a great supporting cast. Someone better than Starks and company. Quote

He's not Hall of fame anything till he gets in a SB at least, maybe. Passing yards are a dime a dozen and everyone is getting them. They obviously have to change the criteria in an era where it's not even hard to move down field on offense. Quote

He keeps this trajectory SB or not he's guaranteed. 1 Quote
Nephilim17 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I think his records will get him into the HOF — even without a championship. Rivers didn't rewrite the record book like Allen is doing. But it pains me to say it that I think Allen is a tick less clutch than Mahomes. To be clear, I think Allen is great but I think Mahomes is more consistently just a hair greater in the playoffs. Flame away... 1 Quote

No rings, no glory, no legacy except as a guy who couldn't get it done (fairly or unfairly). He will be to well represented in the QB record books to be forgotten. In the end even if he never actually makes a Super Bowl his continuous playoff successes & close losses combined with his record setting play both in the regular AND post season will keep Allen in the minds of a lot of NFL fans. He will be a cautionary tale for any future spectacular QB's who are fated to be in an organization that just couldn't get it done. 3 minutes ago, Nephilim17 said: I think his records will get him into the HOF — even without a championship. If Allen continues doing over the next 5 years exactly what he's done so far he will be a first ballot HOFer. 1 1 1 Quote

Yup, this league may never let Josh step near a SB. Not while his Lord & Savior Patrick roams the earth. Besides Sean will never build a defense as tough as KC or Philly. There's a reason Andy fired his ass. 1 Quote

This is absolutely true and supported by the stats. That Allen is only 7 - 6 in the playoffs with the numbers he's put up is a powerful indictment of the rest of the organization. Quote
Maine-iac Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Brees didn't go to a SB until something like his 9th year in the league. You need a little luck and before that you need a really good team. With all that said you need to start by being in the playoffs every year. Like I said in another post, many said we weren't even going to make the playoffs this year. You just never know. 2 Quote

Thats what it'll boil down to. He'll be a local Bills legend, viewed as a great player by many and that'll be about it I fear. Quote

Marino was probably the best quarterback of his time and never won the big game. Allen is the most talented quarterback in the NFL but consistently gets let down by his coaches and teammates. Dumbest ***** ever. Marino had some terrible playoff games. Allen is almost perfect every post season , he just has ***** teammates and ran into the NFLs hand picked dynasty 2 Quote
ExiledInIllinois Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Allen is still two years away age-wise from playing in his first SuperBowl like Peyton Manning. Allen might be this generation's Manning. Look how long it took LeBron? The joke was: "Don't ask LeBron to make change for a dollar, he'd only give you 3 quarters back." LoL... Quote
