A Nod To All Of You

I’m too hurt right now to get into the nuts and bolts of why another Bills season has come up short of the ultimate goal. 
I just want to send out some love to all of the fans of the Buffalo Bills. Especially those that regularly post here and who have become brothers and sisters-in-arms to me, if only through your screen names and avatars.

 

Your posts and comments throughout the year bring me great joy and TBD and TSW are, by far, my most visited pages on the World Wide Web.

 

I especially want to offer an air hug to any of you, like me, who have followed this team for decades and now say you want just “one before I die.” I truly thought this was our year of destiny. It wasn’t. But you all are winners in my book and next year hope will spring eternal.

So long and thanks for all the memories. One day we will have our day. Football is family to us. At the end of the day I’d rather be a bills fan through all the losing because our skin is thick and we bleed blue and red. We’ve been through more heartache than any other team but we don’t give up.

So proud of this team and had so much fun this season including bringing my son to Buffalo. Always tough when you don’t finish with a parade, but what a great team. Keep grinding and get ready to do it again next year. Go Bills.

I'll second Simon's thoughts. This forum has always attracted some of the best Bills fans everywhere whether for their contributions of enthusiasm, knowledge, experiences, humor or our origin memories.

 

That's a difficult finish in a game that clearly could easily have had the opposite outcome and it will drive the team to look to shore up those weaknesses exploited against us tonight. Instead of that reflection and in the spirit of CVMs original post there are many here who offer thoughts that drive the actual Bills fans on this website to come back year after year. To all of you who love our team we are going to collect ourselves and be back soon for another campaign. In the meantime I'll be drinking to each and every one of you!

I was thinking just a bit ago... while this one stings because it just happened, it won't make our "Mount Rushmore" of defeats, not even close.  I don't think the Chefs are better than the Bills, but they earned the right to sh!t talk until next year, unfortunately.

 

We need to retool and upgrade the roster, come back stronger and wiser.  I hope Brady realizes we have a feature back and makes sure Cook gets the ball more moving forward.  We have a lot of talent at RB, but Cook looks like he's ready to be THE guy.

 

Gotta give it up for tonight and bid adieu to the 2024 NFL season, glad to have you guys to rap with and listen to, win or lose.  We weren't supposed to make it this far, can't wait for draft day and free agency to start.
