I agree 100%. But we still need to coach whomever up. We can literally pick guys off the street and make them good DBs. But we turn diamonds into debris on the DL. Why can’t we get a decent DL coach? For a defensive minded HC not getting that locked in is worrisome.

 

i wonder if good defensive assistants don’t want to coach for McD? He is not Reid for sure. Hell he isn’t even Rex Ryan in terms of being genial.

Also pretty sure Smiley as ST Coach is gone as sacrificial lamb. The guy who saved Hamlin.

And the holding during the third and long was on the defender directly involved in the play. Just as blatant. Another no call.

 

if it were a fair fight, your team would be sitting at home, just as they deserved.

- Yep. Beane’s weighted batting average in the draft is looking worse and worse as time goes on. Every GM misses on high picks, but it can’t be the norm - and some of his have not even looked good when they were made. I truly believe that if the Browns or Jets had taken Allen in the draft then McD and Beane would have had only limited success - and would have been fired years ago.

And in this game, the Chiefs were throwing quick passes.  There wasn’t enough time to get to Mahomes on most of them.  That’s why you have to blitz in order to overwhelm the O-line but you then have to get there.
