At what point do we start blaming Beane ?

The talent on this team is just not good enough to overcome KC and we have one difference maker on the roster.  You need year one starters from your first and second round picks, and you need at least a couple difference makers on the roster.  Outside of Allen, it hasn't happened. 

 

My main tenet is there is something fundamentally wrong with Beane's drafting/ talent evaluation for early round picks.  Is it the scouting?  Beane himself?  McDermott wanting small quick guys?  I don't know, but the defense just does not have what it takes to get us there.  It took a couple miraculous plays by the offense to even get us close today.  It's been the same story for several years now.  We need some talent margin at multiple places across the field, especially to overcome superior coaching.

You thinking he’s meh is all well and good, but Worthy was a key factor as to why we lost tonight. And we gave him to them.

And 26 of those came on a play that wasn't even a catch. Dude is meh. He didn't send us home by any means. In all honesty, Juju really had more receiving yards than him.

Worthy had 85 receiving yards and led the Chiefs in receiving yards, catches and all-purpose yards. What?

Drafted two guys in Kincaid and Coleman for their sure hands......... Kincaid has been a huge disappointment. Coleman's rookie year could have been much much better.

Since he got here... His drafting especially in the first couple rounds has been pathetic, the only wide receiver he's drafted that's been decent has been shakir.

 

And how much draft Capital has been wasted on the defensive line that never gets it done when needed.

Looking at it honestly, what top level talent (I mean take over a game, championship winning, building block of a franchise talent) has Beane drafted other than Allen? (KC has Mahomes, Kelce & Jones) 

 

No pass catchers, pass rush, undersized D players that are always hurt. Elam a bust, Kincaid looking like a bust. Gives KC Worthy in a trade that gave us a D-line player who's inactive.

 

This roster has significant flaws & holes. It's hard to see any reason to believe Beane can build a roster with McD as coach that will ever get over the hump. If things don't change expect more of the same every year.

I really like Beane but I’m starting to really question him now. Coleman over Worthy? Kincaid. Still haven’t addressed our pass rush issues. Elam. He’s not looking to hot right now

Yup - called into WGR the Monday after the Draft and said verbatim “I have stopped believing this team will ever do what it takes to build an offense around Allen”. 
 

And here we are in a big game and Mack Hollins is your leading WR.

 

Our GM gave the middle finger to this fan base by trading with the Chiefs and allowing them to get the player they wanted for a pick swap. 

 

Then sat at the podium and was like what’s the big deal? Why is everyone mad? 

 

Keon Coleman is not a useable player because he is blanketed, he’s worse than Gabe Davis if that’s even possible. But so glad we got that 3rd Round DT from Duke University who was inactive all post season. 
 

Best WR draft since 2014 and this team ended up with Keon Coleman. 
 

I don’t want to hear from Beane ever again, he’s proven he can’t build enough around Allen to win Championships.

I think the problem the Bills have is that they are stale.   five minutes into this game, fans on this board were posting various versions of "here we go again", and most of those comments turned out to be correct.

We don't, not if we have any common sense. He's not responsible for Diggd' temer tantrums and childish actions. He's not responsible for all the injuries on the defense last year and the year before when a healthier defense could have taken us to the Lombardi Trophy. I'm frankly amazed we got as far as we did this season. Blame whoever you want to, but I think it's extremely foolish to blame one of the best GM's in the game. Ask why we ran that tush push when it clearly wasn't working. KC sent their biggest guys to that same point while another dove behind them and went down on all 4's to anchor them so they couldn't be pushed backwards. Brady never figured that out. He just kept running the same play over and over. Ask why Kincaid dropped that pass on 4th and 5.

you know you are digging deep defending a GM when you are including players picked while he was in the Carolina War Room 8 years ago. 

 

It's funny, when I've credited McDermott or Whaley for the 2017 Draft in the past I've gotten torn apart. That it was Beane's suggestions in an unofficial capacity and possibly his board with how quickly he came on. But then when I say that, it's not right either.

 

So I guess no one gets credit for the 2017 Draft.
