I don't know about getting rid of Elam and Hamlin. How are we going to replace the 15-17 yard cushion Elam gives prior to the snap?  Now to Hamlin he is elite in non speed and no awareness. These things would be very hard to replace in my opinion.

Definitely a defense heavy draft.  Hamlin & Elam cannot be on this roster next year.  Milano didn't look great since his return and Bernard wasn't anywhere near as good as he was last year.  So maybe another LB?  Most importantly, replace the entire D-Line.  Need to get bigger and meaner.  WR is a need but I'd argue that Brady is part of the problem.  Need to figure out how to scheme these guys open.  Sure, we don't have receivers that can separate as most teams, but aside from Worthy and his speed, what did KC have at receiver?  And they are ALWAYS wide open.

Defense needs an overhaul. We need playmakers in the passing game. 
 

God help me if Elam is rostered again. Hamlin should go. Defensive line is soft.

His catch on 3rd down prior to the controversial 4th down should be looked at. To me the spot on that play was as bad if not worse on the 4th down.

As to WR, the Bills just scored the 2nd most points in the league, set  a team record for points scored.  So yes could they use a better sure.  But think DE and CB are bigger needs and defense in general.  To me the biggest weaknesses of the team, was getting off the field on 3rd, probably followed by sacks which are kind of inter related.

I'm not sure how much cap space the Bills have but I want them to trade for Myles Garrett. 

 

Bills also need Safety and WR help.

Hamlin doesn't need to go, but he shouldn't be the starter.  As a backup, he's likely as good as most backups.  Move Bishop to SS and sign a FA free safety.  

 

Last year I'd have voted to sign Douglas to an extension, but his play dropped off.  IMO I'd use my 1st round draft pick on a CB, and sign Benford to an extension.  Then have Rapp, Hamlin, Ingram, Lewis as depth and maybe try and maybe sign a better backup CB too.

 

I'd put my big FA money on signing or trading for a DE who can get 10 sacks a year in his sleep.  Think AJ and Solomon as backs are good and sign Groot to a new contract.  I think Carter will become a good 1-DT, but still may struggle some in year 2.  Think Oliver will look much better with good play next to him 

 

LB also needs some help Milano is back next year as costs more to cut him than keep him, but see how he plays next year if not back to old level, cut him in 2026.  And would use maybe a 3rd round pick on his possible replacement or a better version of Bernard. 

 

Offense the only need is WR, I would start with signing Hollins to a 2 or maybe 3 year deal.  Think they are stuck with Samuel for another season as would also cost too much to cut.

Yeah, I think King Henry and Saquan have changed the narrative on second contract running backs if they are truly elite.  I think Cook is, just wish we had more designed passing plays to use his quickness in the open field.  I think our O-line is under contract for next season at least.

DL, CB, Safety, and WR1 are the biggest needs. Thankful that the O line is all set. Defense needs a major facelift.

I'm sorry but someone needs to explain why we'd pay Rousseau big money. I understand keeping Benford and Bernard as core pieces but just don't see an impact player in Rousseau. He's the Tremaine Edmunds of the DL.

 

Agreed on Mack and Ty, they're keys to a lot of big plays this year. Both seem to have clutch abilities.

 

Lastly, Samuel will be here most likely. His contract doesn't allow us to just cut him. That said, he shouldn't be relied upon as anything more than WR4 or WR5.

I don’t love Rousseau, but still think he’s an okay starter, so if he doesn’t want a massive contract get it done. Next if we can afford it, if one of the big DEs hit the market we absolutely need to go all in for it. We need a difference maker in the worst way on the defensive line. 
 

Elam needs to be off the roster. We need to try and get another solid CB. Obviously need help at safety. 
 

Let Cooper walk. Cut ties with Samuel, he’s not worth what he’s being paid, unless it’s a big cap hit. Then we must bring in a burner. We have no speed at WR. We’ve been needing a burner forever and they still have yet to address that.

The Eagles did it last year, so it's possible.  They changed a CB, Nickel and both safeties for this season.  And somehow found an All-Pro LB on the market.  The Bills just need teams as dumb as they are to let a guy fall to pick #40 that played at an all-pro level 3/4 of the year.  If only they had a chance at Cooper DeJean 🤬

We can just sign another vet at WR. I like the thinking behind it actually. KC did the same thing. Coleman is obviously a problem but we have to wait it out. With how our new style offense emerged this year, I would just cut Kincaid and definitely not extend Knox if that is on the horizon.

 

There are no “must keeps” on the defense. I would like to see all new, fresh bodies running around next season.

Gone - Elam, Kincaid(maybe find a trading partner), Miller, Hamlin, Spector, Cooper. I’m sure there are many others, but these seem to stand out.
