Carter falling to them was due to off field. The DB picks they made were great. Honestly Mitchell also fell to them. They take highly ranked talented players that fall in the draft.

Right.  But my question was how did they get in POSITION to draft them?

that comes down to philosophy as well, though. Howie Roseman, by far the best general manager of the league, is not afraid to take low character guys. He only cares about talent.

Whereas our organization definitely stays away from most of those guys.

As a older person......the chiefs were just out physicalled....much like the SB Bills were consistently and just like our current team is.

Last year, Eagles fans wanted Siriani fired.

Siriani gave two high performing coordinators the keys. He focused on managing the team. What does his situation have in common with ours?

Definitely need a change in management for McDermott.  He needs to stop wasting Josh Allen's prime years.

I’ll still remember him as the guy that took  Jalen Reagor a pick before Justin Jefferson.

We have some guys who were team captains!!!!   I haven.t seen any real off the field drama with J Davis and J Carter and Co.    Roseman transformed that secondary in short order.  Cole Bishop and Dwayne Carters highlight real would be pretty sparse.

Sean isn’t going anywhere. He had a great year and ownership and Beane love him. With Josh being a Sean advocate he’ll be here for the foreseeable future. In his defense his in game coaching decisions showed improvement and with a few additions we might be able to win a championship with him. Stranger things have happened.

Hand up, I thought Sirianni was dead meat. Mostly because he wasn’t allowed to pick his OC and DC which is borderline unheard of.

I think Nick would’ve been fired if they lost to the Rams and now is safe for the foreseeable future. The NFL rules lol.

Yeah that was rough, but you can also compare the Eagles # of playoff wins to the Vikings since that.

I just want him to reflect and understand that his best quality is probably the management of the entire thing and not forcing a system or methodology onto it. Draft the best players. They don’t have to be fast, smaller, high character. Hand the keys to a new coordinator. It doesn’t need to be the system he ran in Philadelphia or Carolina. Seek some outside ideas. You won’t grow unless you look at what other people are doing and we only promote from within. We will see, I’m asking an awful lot with what I’m saying. I don’t expect it to be honest but I do think he’s embracing more man coverage and showed more signs of being multiple on defense this year which I will take.

Here’s where I’m at with McDermott. Obviously we can’t go on for Allen’s entire career being 2nd or 3rd in the AFC.

McDermott deserves a chance to rebuild his defense. For me he’s got 3 years to make it further than he’s gone so far. If he misses the playoffs I think I would move on.

Didn’t they trade for future picks or something? They’ve never been bad enough to get the 9th pick.

They traded with the Saints in 2022 that got them the Saints 1st rounder in 2023 - that turned out to be Carter.

They were 9-8 in 2021.  They accumulated some draft capital.

This year they hit on Mitchell at pick 19 and DeJean at 40.

Super Bowl.  Hit on your freaking picks.  Especially rounds 1 and 2.

We haven’t.  That’s the difference between us and the Champs.

What are we giving this guy 11 years of Josh Allen to try and get there. It’s ridiculous. How many chances does a guy really deserve? Josh isn’t going to be this guy forever. Stop

wasting it. I’m out of time with McDermott, all year I said get there this year or fire him. Every single year we don’t get there is 1 to many. I have zero rope left

THREE YEARS?

Josh Allen is gonna be 29 next year. That would put him at 32 years old, with a new HC, trying to make his first Super Bowl.

For the record, Drew Brees made one SB, at 30. And that was it for him.

Preach! I posted on another thread here that there are way too many Beane and McD loyalist here. Most are probably participation trophy people.  Just happy to go to the playoffs and hope that next year will be the year, only to lose tge same way, most likely to the same team

Talk about talent and they traded away Reddick, who had how many sacks for them.    Like a double AJ Epenesa.   And were trying to pretend Smoot or Toohill would be additions...lol.
