I think McDermott has a great ability to motivate guys and find ways for his team to over achieve. However, I'm not sure he's always aware of what's in front of him when he plays these games.

As a reminder, when you ask to fire the HC the owner of this team hired former soccer executive and losing NHL coach, Ralph Krueger.

I know that nobody wants to look down the barrel of that gun but this team can get worse. Like much much worse, if Terry is left to make his own decisions.

I mean I respect the opinion but to me you are nuking Josh’s career with a move like that haha so I gotta agree to disagree.  An offensive drive to seal the game is pretty much the ceiling that every coach/defense in the league has hit outside of that TB game where for once they were the team with the bad injury luck/getting hit with penalties.

People just play this game where ‘well if we borrow the ravens defense from this game and pair it with the bills offense from this game we’d win’ but that isn’t at all how it works.

It’s shortsighted saying ‘there’s nothing to lose…we’ll always make the playoffs the playoffs and be good in the regular season’ yada yada.  Even just falling from perennial 2 seed to perennial 4 makes the playoff run much harder most years.

You are nuking his career with McDermott. I want to make Brady the HC. I just want a new DC. And a new Defense. I don’t wanna sit through another miserable big game loss praying we are up by 2 scores because we’ll never make a big stop. Ever. Literally 0x

Unless Terry cleans house then it would be Beane leading the search for a HC. But we all know McDermott and Beane aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

No it won’t. It’s always been McBeane. One unit. Tandem hire. Every other single hire that Pegula Sports has made has been Terry &.

If you think splitting McBeane will keep Terry out of interfering you’re delusional. He has no track record of it outside of McBeane as a singular unit.

I mean the D was bad first half last night but they did make a big stop. They held the Chiefs to a FG despite a 15 yard facemask penalty in that drive. They gave Josh Allen and the offense 3 minutes and change all 3 timeouts. Score a touchdown to go to the Superbowl.

And they couldn't get it done. For the second time in 2 years they were right there and couldn't make the play on offense.

That isn't to defend the defense. In the first half the game plan was wrong and they were manhandled. But if someone offered you Josh Allen has the ball down 3, 3 minutes left all 3 time outs before the game every single fan here would have signed for that.

This is a big offseason for Brandon Beane. I have more concerns about him than McDermott. He got Diggs off the roster and took the cap hit. Now that money is gone. What he’s going to do with it? He passed on Worthy and gave KC a gift. He has to make up for it.

They need a #1 WR and pass rushing help on defense. Something he still hasn’t accomplished yet.

I have said this time and time again.

McD is Marty Schottenheimer 2.0.

He can restore a team to respectability but he will never take the team to the promise land.

I heard an astounding fact during McDermotts post game interview while he was talking to the sideline reporter.

McDermott has lost 8 playoff road games in a row. Think about that

How many more years of Josh's career must we waste ?

I think it is,  but we'll never find the courage to do it.  Ownership is petrified of making a mistake.  We'll just have to wait for someone to beat the Chiefs for us one year and luck into a Superbowl.

And THAT team's QB called out his FO. If his team doesn't get back to the playoffs next year, he's not sticking around there. That's the only QB who can out duel Mahomes. Because all of the other top QBs are playing the same kind of offense or close to it. The elite pure pocket passers of the future are in college.

Tampa and Philadelphia fired their coaches and won SuperBowls

McDermott doesn't deserve to waste Josh any longer

And one of those SB winning coaches got fired by the Jaguars. Chip Kelly was nothing special before him. Or are we assuming the Eagles are going to win it with Siriani?

I was just about to make almost this same post.  Look up his career if you want some depressing reading.  Schottenheimer never could get over the hump.

This is inconceivable!!

I get frustrated when the Bills lose focus and drop a couple of winnable early season games, ensuring we go on the road.  Not sure we sweat the details as well as the Chiefs do.

Not possible.  He’s only coached 5 road playoff games.
