Josh who played like ***** for a quarter and was part of the reason the Bills were in a hole for the first half and had to play catchup? Josh who couldn't check into a play that didn't involve running straight into Chris Jones?

The only issue I have with McDermott is his defense DOES NOT WORK (especially in the playoffs). It does not dictate anything; it holds on for dear life. It is completely dependent on turnovers. The Houston defense did better vs the chiefs.

Candidly, he ought to be 4-1 on the road. McDermott is a solid coach but the lack of difference makers on D and his inability to adjust in big moments are his Achilles heel. 
 

Big picture, the Bills are five time AFCE champions. They’ll regroup, adjust and make another run at it next year!
 

 

 

 

Mcd is winless on the road in the playoffs and lost two at home in the divisional round.  He's a defensive coach who has had epic d meltdowns in multiple games for us, including vs Indy and Baltimore which we managed to win.

Beane said he liked Coleman’s size. The dude plays incredibly small on the field. How could we not see that during the evaluation process?

Coleman is fine. He's young,  he;s still learning, he's gonna be a stud. You don't draft someone because you think they will be great in their rookie year

Because McD said he didn't want Worthy because he felt they had that type of player and wanted a WR with size.  So that's what Beane gave him.

No one really thinks the GM, who the coach picked after he started who he knew from his old team that never won sh1t, where they also got a bunch of bust of players from by the way, is picking players without big input from MCD

Houston had the the 3rd pick  of the draft and prime Danielle ***** Hunter as their DE Who does McDermott have?

The biggest dissapointment in this game wasn't McDermott. 

 

It was their defensive line. Who completely AWOLd tonight

I can’t begin to explain the amount of resources that have been used on defensive linemen since McDermott has been here.

JA has the best TD to int ratio in 13 playoff games in NFL history, and near top total yards per game as well.

 

MCD has a d that has given up record EPA in every playoff loss.

 

Ja has 5 consecutive w 40+ TDS and MCD has 13 seconds and a stupid bald head.

 

It's pretty clear who is the one to keep out of the two of them

That isn't bias. Those are objective facts.

 

Offensively, they lost the chess match. I don't think it's a roster thing as much as it's the coordinator needing to develop more depth of looks and tendencies. I think Brady can fix this with experience. Today l, KC knew the tendencies, planned for them we'll and outmatched our offensive line. They need a little more than a qb sneak, and need some faster developing plays.

 

On the other side, the current iteration of the Bills defense is the least athetic we've seen in the McDermott/Beane era and they don't focus enough on that. The physicality comes and goes, the safety play is bad, and Groot and Epenesa can't outrun quarterbacks. Kansas City's gameplan was largely that their receivers were more athletic than Buffalo's coverage players, and they were right.

McDermott's defensive lines have been abject failures since he's been here and had to have Lotulelei.  We've been giving him multiple draft picks and free agents, year after year and he can't get it done with any of them.

a bunch of mid level FAs, a late first rounder for Groot, and then a big contract for Von Miller, who tore his ACL 10 games into the contract in the midst of an elite season

He rolled right into pressure the last play of the game.  Any clue why Spags sent pressure right?   They knew Josh wouldn't just drop back, climb the pocket and throw the ball.  They knew he would try and buy time rolling right because he always always does.   That's hardly lights out.
