They do what’s necessary to win. That’s why I was more nervous about this game than the Baltimore game. Lamar and Mahomes are such different quarterbacks. Couldn’t understand why so many fans on here predicted an easy win in the pregame thread all week.

If you told everyone benford would go down early I don’t think anyone would’ve picked the bills…just one too many guys to pick on in the secondary.  Much like last year I am baffled that we held on long enough for our offense to even have a drive to seal it which makes it hurt even worse lol

The last play when  Kincaid dropped the ball. It briefly said FLAG. Makes one wonder what would have happened if Kincaid caught the ball.

Was there any way the refs were letting the bills win this game ?

Also, Has anyone ever had less interest in watching a super bowl ? The consensus seems to be the same throughout the NFL and not only the Bills. I wonder if ratings will take a dive.

At the risk of disparaging the fairer sex, even my wife was questioning why they kept going back to the same play. It just wasn't the automatic play that it was in the regular season. And when they mixed it up and Josh went over the top it was nearly a fumble.

But, the entire season whenever it has been 3rd and 1,2, or 4th and 1, and we didn't do this... the question has always been "Why not just tush push?!"

At any point had we done something else and it not worked, that same question would have been asked.

The officiating in the NFL is awful.

The Bills got out coached tonight.

Both can be true simultaneously.

The Bills had a game tonight where they obviously needed to be better than the opponent and in all likelihood the officials as well.

They failed. On both.

They lost more due to being outcoached but the officiating didn't help either.

The game is NOT rigged.  There's just an awful disconnect between human & machine that is grossly effecting outcomes.  The mundane part of the games are going swimmingly well between humans & machine.  The games move along in 3 to 3.5 hours!

The spotting was terrible for the Bills all night.

Ridiculously bad. I cannot recall worse, actually. In KC, you must earn 11 yards to get a first down.

I used to think this. Not after tonight.

Come on people! The Bills got the ball with over 3 minutes left and all three timeouts. Josh simply didn’t get it done. To date it defines his legacy.

He did get it done. He got a first down.

You’re right. Benford leaving so early made the defense a lot more vulnerable. Which made holding KC to a fg in that last drive even more remarkable. Offense needed to step up at that point to win the game. It does hurt worse given that context.

I was thinking the same thing

Because we're clearly better than the Chiefs. We were not clearly better than the Ravens. Unfortunately for all of us, no one is better than the referees.

This is crazy logic. The Chiefs played far from a flawless game and yet were on the receiving end of two wildly wrong and impactful officiating calls.

At least 4 actually

I'm all for doing the same thing over and over and over until the other team stops it. From what I saw, the Ravens started to make it look less than automatic and for sure tonight KC did. In the regular season Josh would make it a yard or more past the mark. Last week and tonight it wasn't the gimme it was regular season and actually got stopped.

The nfl is three steps from pro wrestling——face it.

There were a lot of plays where they spotted us about three steps too short.

also hard to bear McD and spotting the other team 7 points by being unprepared.

The fact that each of the Bills opponents in the 3 playoff games scored TD's on their first possessions is a real problem.

The refs has nothing to do with the outcome today. We had every opportunity to win, and predictably choked.

Bills were up 1, in the 4th with a 1st down in Chiefs territory… until the refs decided otherwise.

Allen started slow, Kincaid sold the game and McDermott’s Defense was predictable trash most of the night…

… but I can’t really focus on much more than the fact big calls, once again, went the Chiefs way - including the absolutely inexcusable 4th down spot that changed the entire trajectory of the 4th Quarter.

It only defines his legacy to those that have little or no knowledge of the game of football.
