I am definitely not laying this all on the refs.  We were out coached in every phase of the game.  But even with the shortcomings this team has with the idiot coaching staff, the boys played hard enough and well enough to win.  With that being said, that 4th down play just about nailed our coffin.  We were up by 1 and driving.  We likely get at least a FG out of that drive if not a TD.  Plus take time off the clock and rest our defense.  And if we put up 7 points there, the entire outlook changes.  The ref on our sideline blew the spot on Kincaid’s catch.  Then the same ref and the one on the KC sideline didn’t flag Chris Jones for being way the hell Offside on the 4th down play.  Hell he was already grabbing JA by the time he fully had the ball in his hands.  And then obviously they all blew the spot.  Sure, we had opportunities to still win it after that.  But it’s always a different ballgame when you’re playing catch up than with the lead.  Especially on the road in the playoffs.  I’m even more pissed at McDermott for not blowing a gasket (which he obviously never does and is part of the reason why we’ll never win with him).  Even if he gets flagged.  I mean so what.  We already lost all of the momentum.  Try swinging it back our way by ripping them a new #######.  It may even fire up our lackluster defense.  It sure as hell would’ve given the stripes something to think about down the stretch.  Rant over.  This is another tough loss to swallow!!  😀

Man you're speaking my language here. I'm actually glad people are Pissed. Pissed at the refs, coaching and players. There comes a time when being good enough isn't good enough. It's not cute anymore to look for moral victories. We lost. There's a lot that goes into that loss. The moment just always seems slightly too big on top of dealing with the chiefs and the refs.

Yes, Buffalo squandered some opportunities, but so did KC!! A TON of screwups on each side. When a game is THAT close down to the wire, officiating can be (and WAS) the thing that tipped the scale for the final result. Game was lost by 3 points. Buffalo had the ball at the Chiefs 40. We were 3 yards or so from Bass’ range who has been money all postseason. That took away 3-7 points away from Buffalo and KC ended up scoring a TD on that turnover on downs, potentially being a FOURTEEN point swing in their favor! Are people blind ? If you’re going to point to Buffalo’s error then point out KC’s as well. They let Buffalo hang around the entire time despite dominating the entire first half.

We all new we were going to get jobbed by the refs. You just have to be zebra proof like the Eagles were.

We had to get a two score margin, which was why the slow start hurt so much.  We ended up playing a tight tug of war until the 4th Quarter when we had a chance to go up 8.. but we all know what happened.

Which is why you just can't get to the 4th Quarter against the Chiefs without a working margin, otherwise you allow the refs to make game altering calls in high leverage moments that always seem to go their way.

God forbid the refs call a penalty like that in a tight playoff game.  I suppose we’ll have to settle for not calling penalties on a long kick return for KC as well, but obviously making sure they find the time to throw a flag when Elam’s hand touches a Chiefs players facemask.

Glad I’m not the only one who noticed multiple blocks in the back on that KO return. The chiefs player even put his hands up immediately after drawing even more attention. The non-catch by Worthy at the 4 yard line 😂 the whole length of the football passed the line to gain. As Journey says “it goes on and on and on and on…”

Glad NFL fans are waking up to this blatant crap. Mahomes was asked about the officiating during their press conference and you could see the guilt all over his face. The league is so bent on someone else challenging Tom Brady’s dominance. They are literally manufacturing W’s for this man. Thankfully, people are seeing through the BS. I predict that this is going to be one of the lowest rated Super Bowls of all time.

But yeah, people keep drinking their cope juice. “The Chiefs wanted it more. The Bills were unprepared. Sean McDermott needs to be fired.” Right. McDermott has transformed the culture of this entire franchise. They made it to the AFCC and got screwed. Josh Allen and McDermott are heroes in my household.

Well said..

Mahomes had the only turnover of the game.

Mahomes took a sack in the open field when they were close to FG range.

That is 6-10 points right there that if the game goes the other way, people would point to as why Mahomes/KC made mistakes they couldn't overcome.

The only reason we never do this with them is because they get the game altering calls in close games that allow them to overcome those mistakes.

At this point, it might be the only way anybody else has a chance. Whenever the Chiefs find themselves treading in deep water, the refs throw them a flotation device.

Yep. The only way to win is to dominate them. Close games will end up in their favor every time. Hence their 16-0 record in one score games. I refuse to believe the Chiefs & Mahomes are just that clutch. That doesn’t make people think?

Not to beat the dead horse more but I have an honest question, if the NFL was fixing the game, but trying to be not obvious, how would the game have been different? It is not questionable whether Josh got the first, it is not a legitimate question if that was really a catch since it clearly hit the ground without full control. At some point the difference between incompetence and corruption is irrelevant because the result is the same, and this game crossed the line since the officials used instant replay and still got it definitely wrong.

I can’t believe how many people believe the only reason the Bills lost is that the NFL wanted the Chiefs to win.  I was talking with a friend yesterday, and he insisted the fix was in…and nothing about the Bills coaches and players factoring into the loss.

Unbelievable.

I have seen that there was a flag thrown on the missed catch by Kincaid but when he missed the catch it was picked up . Is this true hmmmmmmm

No. It's fake news. There was no flag on the field. Just a TV error. It's why there are zero pictures of the flag despite 80,000 cameras in the stadium.

It definitely wasn't the only reason - but it played a key part.

Yeah...  this loss was on Coaching, both sides of the ball for numerous reasons. Whats not BS is how we are never given the benefit. 2- plays, one was crucial was taken away from us and that is the first down run by Josh. That couldve been a game changer, but at the end of the day, as I have said numerous times to many people, Josh has the ball with plenty of opportunitoes to make it happen with 3+ minutes on the clock and failed to do so. Blame Josh, Blame Brady, Blame McDermott, doesnt really matter.

We got out coached, out performed when it mattered most!

I don’t think anyone believes that’s the only reason lol but it certainly didn’t help.  At some point getting nickel and dimed on every spot/some humongous no calls on the chiefs has you chasing 10+ points to overcome all that and it’s just too much.  This game on that final drive we still had a chance though and pooched it.  If we get that Kincaid or Josh spot, I think we probably win.  But we gave ourselves another shot and blew it all on our own

It wasn't "the" reason.

You're deliberately misrepresenting the sentiment most NFL fans have.

Buffalo could have played better, of course.  But if we win, the same could be said about Mahomes/Kansas City.  He had the turnover.  He took the sack near FG range.

But we have to own our mistakes, while KC is always absolved of theirs.

Gotta give it to Mahomes.... He has the killer instinct in him like Brady did. Josh does not! I can honestly state that if Mahomes was the QB on that last drive that we had the ball with 4- downs to get a first, exact same coaches and players that Josh has, i would bet a million dollars that he gets us within field goal range to tie the game, at the very least.

I love Josh and am grateful that he is our QB, but mentally Mahomes owns him. Just like Brady owned us mentally, as well as Jordan and the Bulls to the NY Knicks in the 90's.

I wish Mcdermott and Josh would make statements like Ryans and the Texans did after their issues with the refs after their game. It wouldn't come off as whinny to me..... It would show many of the fans that they arent gonna just lie down and take it like we always do. Screw the fines, we have a billionaire owner and if he is not willing to pay my fines for sticking up for this team, then I would want out of Buffalo as a HC.

The same stuff happened when NE used to get all of the calls against us. McD would just state that he doesn't wanna get fined so hes gonna keep his thoughts to himself!

My opinion - I think they dropped the flag momentarily for Dejon taking off his helmet after the play when he was yucking it up with Chris Jones.  Somehow they decided that was too ticky tack at that juncture, as a 15 yarder would have been a big deal there.

Pretty much Chiefs fans are the only ones calling us crybabies. The entire NFL including division rival’s fan bases (especially New England whose dynasty is being threatened) all are in unison agreement about this crap. A ton of people will not be watching the SB. Must be nice to sit out on a 1st round bye and cruise through 2 games with heavy help from the officials.

Would be awesome if he did. I saw a reel of Josh after each Chiefs loss looking more and more dejected. I wish some of our players would get angry. It might bring more heat onto the issue.

If it’s a penalty, throw it.

If Mahomes was facing the Chiefs defense I’m not sure if he would have managed it as a Bills player. He would have made the play - just like Josh did - but someone else would have mucked up.
