why doesnt the ref facing the ball get to make the spot. The ref that cant see anything but Allens back makes the spot.

I wish Allen would’ve tossed it to him as he ran in, not the guy who had it marked short. Everything that could go wrong on those two plays, did.

I'm a little annoyed with Kincaid on that play for not making a decided effort to keep his knee up.  Everyone saw the earlier great play by Cook, making every effort to keep his knee up.  Kincaid let his knee go down so they didn't spot it where the ball landed but took it back to their own approximation of where they thought it may have been during his travel downward.

 

And for the McDermott criticism about the call, the play made it.  May have been close but they had it.  Any other call that didn't work would be getting (rightfully) a lot more flack.

His knee was up.  It never touched the ground. His elbow hit at the same time as the ball and that was where it should have been downed. First down.

 

What angered me is that the offense went straight to rush the 4th down attempt. McD didn't even give the Bills replay assist guys a chance. CBS didn't even get a chance to review it. I was yelling at the screen b/c it looked really close.

Everyone’s making something of 4th and 1 but it wasn’t the only call. That punt return with two holds and a block in the back - nothing. Elam getting called on a face mask but the Chiefs do the same to Josh and Cook - nothing. The constant short spotting - I’ve never heard any commentator, let alone someone as experienced as Nantz, call a first down and have to take it back as much as he did Sunday. The Worthy catch - just give it to ‘em. Hamlin taunting when it was Kelce. When even Chiefs fans are saying it’s too much…

These were the most blatant missed calls that went in KC's favor. On top of this the Bills had double the penalty yardage as KC.  You gotta be extremely naive to think the refs weren't playing games. And yes refs will always have the capacity to "gently steer" games in any direction necessary.  It's  funny how 2 years ago Taylor Swift didn't give a rats ass about the Chiefs.  How things so quickly change.

If we weren’t so successful in converting short yardage throughout the year, he challenges it there I would think.

It was a first down and everybody knows it. It's sickening that they review it (the Worthy "catch" too) and STILL get it wrong. Some say incompetence, but with the technology and all the different angles, that doesn't fly.

That spot wasn’t his fault but he was the recipient of it being marked short.

 

He was the pusher on the following play on 4th & 1…

 

He also dropped that pass from the heavens by Josh…

....That 3rd down happened RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BILLS BENCH...

 

1.  they saw it live.....and if you pay close attention to video...the reason they probalby didn't challenge that spot was because Kincaids elbow hits the ground before he extends the ball. Surely they also have someone watching the game and replay in Seans ear saying yes or no to challenge...............and they didn't...........but................

 

2.  If you watched that and though the spot was bad....you have to challenge that!  (I don't think it would have changed the spot and the Bills would lose a TO)

 

3.  KC had been standing up to that Allen sneak over left guard all game....did they expect anything other than an extremely close judgement call on the spot after how that play had been going?  Call a boot action with a run or pass option....that had been working all night..and Kc wouldn't have stopped it for no gain.

They had to edit the video to indicate that only the tip of the ball may have touched the pylon. It was impossible to determine the exact position of the ball. It was a close call that could have gone either way. With 11 minutes left in the game, we had other possessions. This decision is not the reason we lost the game.

Bills didn’t do enough to win, the scheme gameplan was utter crap - especially in the 1st half, the players came up short in key moments, the defense lacks depth and is mediocre in key areas. You want to beat KC we need to improve.  End of story

I have zero patience for the type of fan who says “we had our chances, don’t blame the refs”

 

Nah, **** off.   I will 100% blame the refs.

 

Who knows how that game goes if we have it 1st and 10 at the Chiefs 40 up 1 in the 4th Quarter.  That is an insanely huge bad call.  
 

And that’s even after we got the 50/50 Chiefs get their way call on Kincaid, 50/50 Chiefs get their way call on Worthy, phantom facemask on Elam, no penalties when obvious ones occurred on the long kick return and Kelce taunting Hamlin but *we get 15….

 

After all that.. with no calls going our way, we still should have had the ball with a chance to go up 8, at least 4 in the 4th Quarter and the refs simply stole the ball from us and gave it to Kansas City near midfield. 
 

Mahomes gets absolved of his sins because they get the calls and win.  Never has to answer for committing the only turnover of the game or taking a sack that knocked them out of potential FG position or getting sacked on an and-goal situation late in the game. 
 

Instead it’s Allen, once again, having to atone for his teammate letting him down on a late drive. 
 

Once again, it’s a fanbase let down, because the league plays favorites.

It should have been offsetting.  When do you see a guy allowed to run up to the defender and get in their face like that after a TD. 
 

That was above and beyond Hollins stepping over a guy.
