The thing that was irritating me the most is they kept spotting balls that clearly looked like first downs "just short" of the first down multiple times...not only Kincaid and then the Allen sneak on back to back plays, but throughout the game on other plays too.

Yep. The Bills beating themselves was a much bigger factor than the refs.

I bundle it all into the “got lucky”-  those are the breaks.  KC got them again. I don’t think it was on purpose.  I just think that’s the way things shook out.  Eager to watch the game where we get those breaks vs KC in the playoffs.  The odds of that happening should be improving after each game we don’t get them.  
 

if we were on the other end of some of those calls- or even one - we may be playing in 2 weeks.  We’ll never know

Kinda crazy how that’s “just how it shook out” all season long, unless somebody beat them decisively, like Buffalo in week 11… otherwise, one score games, these calls absolutely sway the outcome. This is not exclusive to the Bills. This is anybody vs KC…. Almost all of their games have been one score differentials and the disparity in flags against opposing teams has been egregious all season, it’s been a common talking point throughout the season, low and behold same thing happens in the Conference Championship. I honestly don’t care if the Bills ever win one at this point because the legitimacy of the league is in serious question. Why do they refuse modern advances like chipping the ball for spots, that can take the influence of the refs OUT of the game? There is no legitimate reason to leave so much up to human error at this point, technology has been available going on decades now to avoid bs like this, but they allow it. For what other reason than to sway the outcome of close games?

Since 2020 I think we have lost one game a year due to poor one sided officiating, this is only time this year the officials seemed to really matter. The officials are usually poor but usually the calls balance somewhat.

Agreed.  Watching the bronco playoff game, I was thinking they gave Denver the shaft on a handful of spots.  We got the shaft yesterday.  
 

it didn’t lose the game for us-  it favorable spots may have changed the outcome

just send in some scrub and offer him some $ under the table for an extended period of time.

Ben Watson chimed in about the refs cheating for the Chiefs...and he would know something about that since he played on the Patriots...

I captured two images from my replay.  I believe both shots are at close to the same moment.  In the one overhead view you can clearly see Josh has the ball tucked up in his upper chest, just near his chin, which puts it straight down below his helmet.  In the side shot you can see where his helmet is and can easily figure out that the ball just below his helmet/chin is clearly at a spot that warranted a first down.   Refs need to do better!

Again this is something that is par for the course in the 2025 NFL. Be better than the other team AND the officials.
