You’re right. Benford leaving so early made the defense a lot more vulnerable. Which made holding KC to a fg in that last drive even more remarkable. Offense needed to step up at that point to win the game. It does hurt worse given that context.

Offense scored 29 points! More if they don't botch the 4th Down spot.

Nah  I dont whine over the refs, grow up

Bills didn’t do enough to win, the scheme gameplan was utter crap - especially in the 1st half, the players came up short in key moments, the defense lacks depth and is mediocre in key areas. You want to beat KC we need to improve.  End of story

refs? Gtfoh

Interception for the Bills became a Chiefs' 30 yard completion. Phantom PI against Elam prevented a Chiefs' punt. Successful 4th down QB sneak in the 4th quarter inexplicably became the Chiefs' ball. Penalty flag against the Chiefs on the Bills' last play was picked up with no explanation. This isn't rocket science. Refs know exactly when and where to have the biggest impact while making things seem close. It's all fixed.

calling football fixed is the laziest take anyone could possibly have.

First of all, no it isn't. The Bills largely deserved the penalties they got just as much as KC deserved theirs.

Second of all, Fixing pro football would be impossible.

Third of all, if they were going to fix the game, why go with the Chiefs when the Bills upset would be far more beneficial to everyone in the league. The premise of parity is what's vaulted the NFL to the most profitable league in the nation.

Ask Josh if he thinks the game was rigged, or if he and a bunch of his teammates absolutely sucked out there tonight. I bet I know which answer he'd go with.

Unfortunately the opposition scored 32. Needed 33 not 29.

The thing that amuses me is the Chiefs jumping Offside on that Tyler Bass extra point turned out to be the worst thing that could've happened to us.  We miss the two point conversion twice and they make it once.  None would've been tried if they didn't jump Offside.  So instead of being down three we would've been tied at 31-31 going into our offenses final drive.  Lake Erie curse.

Only one team has scored 27 or more on the Chiefs all season (excluding the week 18 walkover). We follow them.

Actually only one other has scored more than 25 - the Panthers in week 12.

Cool. Guess we’ll have to settle for that moral victory until next season.

Or apportion blame appropriately rather than disproportionately calling out the offense.

I’ve been saying it’s a team loss. The defense, despite losing their best cb very early, still managed to hold KC to a fg at the end so the offense could have a chance to win. Offense couldn’t. Team loss.

People just want to blame the defense. This is the 4th time KC has knocked us out of the playoffs. The defense is not going to shut down Mahomes. The offense has to out score them. They had a chance tonight and couldn’t. They had a chance last playoffs and couldn’t. Let’s hope they could next time they’re in that position again.

The refs didn’t beat us this game. We lost this one straight up.

I'm not going to say the officials lost us this game - we made plenty of our own mistakes and deserved to lose. But in a game that everyone knew was going to be decided by one possession, the officials literally stole one possession from us. Period. No debate, that's actually what happened. That's worth noting and it's worth being angry about. And it's not just Bills fans' anger - NFL fans from across the social media world are all angry about it too. There are people I follow on Twitter that don't usually comment on football, and even a few of them have brought it up unprompted. I've never seen anything like it. It's become the dominating narrative of the game, rather than the great matchup between two heavyweights that we all just watched, and that just really sucks. I want football to be about football, not about this stupid crap.

Of course the problem is that the NFL has no reason to care. The controversy actually drives engagement so to them it's a good thing. I don't think anyone is fixing games, it is just human error that the NFL is actually incentivized to let continue. Sure they could easily put a chip in the ball but the drama of those moments would be lost and that's a lot more valuable to them than a 100% accurate outcome.

has it been discussed whether kincaid got screwed out of a first on the play before 4th and one? would be great to have a slow mo replay of that. looks like a first in real time.

not that it matters.

It was the wrong spot. I think it was still short, but closer to 6 inches. I do want to see another angle

Also the moral victory of not giving Chiefs their perfect season. You’re welcome, Miami. Philly is not winning, NFL wants a 3 peat, it’s been the driving story this year.
