Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season

I think my favorite thing about this topic in general is that Patriots fans online complain loudly about the favorable officiating for the Chiefs.  Completely without a sense of irony.

I’m more mad about those 2-3 early regular season games they got gifted which just handed them the 1 seed.  They had a ton of time off to work on sh*t and get healthy this year down the stretch 

 

people get hung up on some questionable calls in the playoffs but they were on a heater of bailout calls early in the season

straight crybaby stuff and hope you raise your kids better than this. Embarrassing look for the rest of the non crybaby bills fans. The refs weren’t the reason we got no pass rush. The refs were the ones who could have had 4 turnovers in the first half. The refs weren’t the ones who got 13 yards on their last drive, 

 

I pray one day the Bills (who have been very, very good) are great enough to have sore loser fans cry about how we get favored by the refs because we win the SB every year. 
 

but yes, the refs are cheating to make the giant metropolis of Kansas City (which is such a stupid place it doesn’t know what state it is) their darling team. Not NYC, not LA, not Chicago, not a Bills- Lions SB which would have set records before the earth exploded. They choose KC. 

It’s to be expected with the lack of transparency and public accountability for officials. People will always fill gaps with their own explanations…. Add in the current gambling ties with the NFL, and it’s going to be exasperated.

It’s a topic that is worthy (no pun intended) of discussion. Really baffles me that some Bills fans are actually getting angry. The piss poor officiating has been a problem that has snowballed for years and now finally coming to a head. It’s a discussion that needs to be had. People want answers. I posted this thread immediately after the game and sure enough a lot of people thought the same because it has been one of the most talked about topics in the media and amongst fans.

I could chalk it up to human error if the bad game changing calls actually went against the Chiefs once in a while. They don’t. Point blank period. Fair weather fans are even noticing. But yeah Josh won the MVP so everything is good again.👍🙄

I would be angry as a CHIEFS fan. Who wants an asterisk next to a championship? The best team should always win.

Look, until Beane puts better talent on the field and we combine that with Sean tweaking his philosophy to beat their butts so badly that flags don't matter, nothing changes.

 

Allen winning MVP helps. We trade for Myles Garrett, add some more in FA and draft great, and get the #1 seed, and the Refs wont matter.

Nah, we left plays out there on the field against a team that is going for its 4th SB win in the last 6 SBs.

I am so torn here literally, what you say is 100% truth... we had the opportunity to win the game... we didnt. We are woefully deficient on Defense... it needs to improve... our defensive scheme seems old and stale and not matching our personnel... it needs to be looked at...  I am glad that the team is not just blaming the officiating and looking inward.. 

 

That said... obvious calls that went against us that if they were called correctly impacted the game... we still could and maybe should have over come... but they were still a significant impact on this game and impacted the over all outcome... that doesnt mean KC doesnt pull another 13 seconds or play the game differently etc... but things in the game would have changed and we will never know how it would have played out...  I hate this... for us and the sport... especially when it is right there on replay to see... 

 

In the end... look at your own self in the mirror.. control what you can control and win next time... regardless of the officials.

exactly, control what you can control. We need a revamp both talent and scheme wise on Defense. We also need a WR who can stretch the field and get better separation on offense.

Would be nice, but the Eagles have that and they are in the SB because their D is solid, they have a sick RB and Oline....not because they can stretch the field with WRs.   So while a legit WR is nice,  the answer for me is to get a big stout defense and DB's and work in some of what Spags is doing.

He kinda did in the playoffs tbh.  That benford injury absolutely torpedoed the gameplan though it seemed like.  As much as a lot of the criticism is deserved I feel kind of bad for mcd honestly.  we’ve been really snakebit with a great defensive player or two or three being out going against a very healthy chiefs team the last couple years.  
 

I wonder if the uptick in man defense will spill over to the next regular season

My son is constantly talking about NFL fix and such. I don't buy into it all like some. I'll listen but.....no. Anyway he keep talking about superbowl colors that are out before the games and how they often match the teams that end up in the SB. This years colors are pretty spot on but still....no

It’s not rigged but the refs are still not good at their jobs and the Chiefs do tend to get more favorable calls than most for whatever reason.  Probably because they are usually at home in the playoffs and there is an unconscious bias.

I thought the same when I saw the Bill Burr/Rich Eisen conversation. 

 

I've been a strong proponent of the refs suck for every team equally but as fans we ignore/forget when the bad calls go our way. All of the short first down spots in our last game got my attention in a bad way.

I'm curious, how old is your son?  Feel free to tell me to eff off if you don't wanna share.

 

I've been pretty hard core the past few years that it's the inconsistent refs more than any grand conspiracy - and have been pounding that into my college age boys. It was either last year or the year before that we got royally hosed against the Eagles on a play where Josh got called for grounding on a play where he got horse-collared and there was a Bill receiver clearly in the vicinity. Same year we benefited by a non-call when we mugged Waller in the end zone on the last play of the game.  Both calls were game changers, one for, one against.

 

I hate the whiny b!tch attitude of most football fans towards refs but I have to admit that when I saw the replays of all the spots in Bills/Chiefs it made me think that I may be naive.

Eagles are in the superbowl cuz the chiefs aren’t in their conference 😂. I hope they prove me wrong but we’ll see

Pretty funny...for nearly 20 years these clowns received the exact same benefits package from the NFL.
