SCBills Posted January 28 Posted January 28 It takes away from their greatness. And they are great. One of the best HC/QB combo's we've ever seen. Chris Jones and Travis Kelce are all-time greats on each side of the ball. But nobody gives them that credit because every fan outside Kansas City views them (correctly) as the NFL's golden child that wins games, in large part, due to biased officiating. 3 Quote
C.Biscuit97 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I’ll be honest. I’m sick of the whining. I’m sure you could break down every championship team and find calls in their favor. Even if the refs “totally screwed us” there were plenty of chances to win the game. If roles were reversed and we were the dynasty going to our 5th SB in 7 years, would we give a crap? I’ll just tell them to stop whining. 5 minutes ago, SCBills said: It takes away from their greatness. And they are great. One of the best HC/QB combo's we've ever seen. stlbills13 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 One other thing I noticed during the game. There were 2 occasions where our offense didn't substitute but the ref still held up the snap as if we did so the defense could set/sub. Anyone know why they did this? Quote

The Bills had a game tonight where they obviously needed to be better than the opponent and in all likelihood the officials as well. They failed. On both. They lost more due to being outcoached but the officiating didn't help either. Everything you say is true.. but i feel like if one of those things are reversed... we are coached better or the officials dont blatently cheat... we win.. and thats without the team playing its A game... I think if that happens we win as well... Quote
Big Turk Posted January 28 Posted January 28 This seems almost too far fetched to believe... They said the reason there wasn't one like there is almost after every game is that none of the reporters covering the game asked for there to be one. What?? You mean NOBODY wanted to figure out what happened with that 4th down spot or even worse why the Bills kept being marked a foot or two short when it seemed like a clear first down in every other game I've watched this year, including the play before the 4th down play to Kincaid? Something doesn't smell right. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/inside-the-pool-report-process-which-wasnt-activated-as-to-the-key-play-in-bills-chiefs Quote
stlbills13 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 The Chiefs writers wouldn't ask any questions plus wanted to cover the championship celebration. The Bills writers are a little too touchy feely and wanted to see the emotions of the team rather than meet with the refs. That all being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the refs/NFL didn't bring up the topic and/or make the offer Quote

But it's not the stripes fault they couldn't get a foot when they needed it. It wasn't only on those 2 plays, it was a consistent issue where even Nantz was incredulous eventually that he kept saying the Bills pick up a first down and then had to correct himself and say "the officials are marking it short!". Happened at least 7 or 8 times. Never seen it before. A few times? Sure. Almost every time it happened? Never. 1 1 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Those spots are starting to frustrate me. I’m typically not a blame the refs guy, and I won’t blame the refs here, but they got that wrong. Quote

Well when both announcers and the rules analyst who happens to be a multi Super Bowl reffing former NFL referee and was head of officials for quite a while says it was BS, it's probably BS. 1 1 1 Quote

I get it, I think blaming the refs is low hanging fruit...but I think Bills the fans deserve a 48-hour grace period given how much this one stings. Personally I don't think blown calls cost us the game, but I don't understand the 4th down spot. The reception I kinda get as the ball did not move, but I really hate how the linesman (for the 4th down spot) at the top just caved (given he likely had the clearer point of view). Quote
Einstein Posted January 28 Posted January 28 New angle (from NFL Films). Yeah, Allen had that first down. 3 Quote

I understand and actually agree with that and I am usually much more accepting of that appropriate grace period, but this stuff has been going on for months, if not years. I just think enough is enough and it's time to cowboy up. Quote
Ballhawk Posted January 28 Posted January 28 The NFL is an entertainment league. https://www.primerus.com/article/nfl-attempts-convince-supreme-court-its-teams-are-not-competitors-except-playing-field Do you yell at the outcomes of these events? 1 Quote
