Corner and Safety is our #1 need followed by DE and DT. Then LB.

Okay. And then next year in January when our offense has the ball in its hands with a chance to go beat KC, all of those players are sitting on the bench and like Nelson Agholor is the target on 4th and 7. I don't know. Personally I'd rather Elam start at CB2 than watch that scenario play out. And yes I understand just how bad Elam is. I really just don't care anymore. The next chapter is already 99% written and it's eerily similar to the last few chapters. How it ends is up to Beane's decisions this offseason.

Guess the team needs to hire someone who can evaluate talent a bit better.

I think the problem is we have a garage full of Corvettes and wish we had a Ferrari.

No offense intended - I'm shocked anyone thinks the DL is what's holding us back. Andy Reid just out schemed us today. That's going to happen every year, I've made my peace with it. KC has been stymied by one DL ever during their dynasty run. That isn't the answer.

We need to put 40 points on the board in regulation. I want that to be Beane's mindset with every decision he makes this offseason.

Defense gave the offense a chance to be heroes at the end. That’s all you can hope for against a quality opponent.

No, a game changing pass rusher is and has been our number one need for YEARS now, and it has cost us in games like this every playoff loss. I agree a speed WR is a very big need though for sure.

We had 1 and we got rid of him because he got tired of losing in the playoffs 🤷🏽‍♂️

If he hated losing in the playoffs maybe he shouldn’t have played like crap in them every year.

Two years in a row now! The offense couldn't close the deal. With Allen at QB that can't happen. The game effectively ended today with a drop. Last year's may have as well although not as definitively.

We entered the past two offseasons desperately needing more pass catchers. Well here we are again. Coleman was a non-factor. Samuel dropped a catch, tougher than it needed to be but still a play there to be made. The final play of the game a pass catcher let us down. The more I think about it the more disgusted I am.

Hopefully Beane has finally learned that he needs to OVER invest in pass catchers. The only way we're winning a Super Bowl under this regime is with an offense that can completely steamroll the competition. We need someone other than Allen that can make the clutch play at the end. No more half measures. Go all in on giving Allen an offensive cast worthy of his talent.

They don't seem to want elite pass-catchers in this "everyone eats" scheme.  The buffet got smaller by design, so everyone eats, but the rations aren't much more than sustenance rations.

What big name WRs are going to want to play in such a system.  Also, since when have teams rotated WRs in and out like people change their underwear?  Only here.

People... haven't we learned that no matter what, our D will not be able to great QBs & offenses in the playoffs? No matter who we draft, McDermott's D will be McDermott's D.

We need elite playmakers who can help us out score opposing offenses. We need elite playmakers that demand attention at all times by opposing defenses. Just keep loading up on offense & hope we eventually get our Randy Moss.

Yes, it's been a big need every year since Beane came here, but he's yet to address it fully or get a star receiver with speed that can separate, with the exception of trading for Diggs. Josh has one of the best arms in the league, but are pass plays are 5 yards down the field at most because none of our receivers apparently can get open beyond the five yards.

I'm not even sure that Brady knows how to use receivers properly to be honest on this team.

The Bills did the bare minimum this offseason.

Diggs

Davis

Deonte Harty

Trent Sherfield

Shakir

And Beane turned that into:

Curtis Samuel

Amari Cooper

Keon Coleman

Mack Hollins

Kahlil Shakir

Best WR draft since 2014 and we end up with a jump ball who runs a 4.61 and can’t separate.

Beane sat up there smug after the Draft, so proud of his 3rd Round pick, he’s put this team in a position to have egg all over their face again tonight.

Our D is about 6 elite players away from being able to dominate and take over a game like against KC.   Our O on the other hand is 1 elite WR away from being able to dominate and take over a game.    Find us that elite WR, there's just too many holes on D to even bother.  @HappyDays is right.

Half our starting pass catchers were our first picks in the draft and our best pass catchers were late round picks and free agents who were only supposed to block and play special teams.

He’s been right for about 3 years now. It doesn’t matter because McD and Beane come from the Carolina school of drafting crummy big slow WR’s every 4 years and drafting 11 DL guys.

Disagree. The difference between the Bills and Chiefs in the playoffs has been guys like Chris Jones and Karlaftis - guys who get after the passer. Mahomes didn't lose a beat after Tyreek Hill left.  Kelce and D-Hop were not difference makers tonight. Juju put up numbers - and is usually mocked around here. Hollins had nearly as many yards as the almighty Xavier Worthy. The Bills took a big swing with Von a few years ago and it didn't produce the expected results, but that's the type of impact player(s) we need.

could we figure out how to draw up some plays where we throw the ball past the sticks on 3rd down?

and how much of our entire offensive philosophy goes up in flames when the tush push doesn't work. having that in our pocket completely dictated our offensive philosophy on 2 and short and 3rd and short.

i guess we'll have to get a little more creative knowing that play isn't what we thought it was for us.
