This bum head coach hasn't had a defensive line including pass rushers do crap since he's been here.  No more catering to this weak coach.  He's had more than enough resources on his side of the ball.  Stop investing in him, he doesn't do anything with it.

We score 30 points every single game.

Right. It needs to be 40. All the investments we've made on defense, and the two weakest versions of KC's offense still move the ball at will against us in the playoffs. Nothing is going to change on that side of the ball. We're playing whack a mole trying to fix one area of the defense while another falls off. Forget it, make just enough investments to field a competent defense. Everything else goes into building a 40 point offense.

We entered the past two offseasons desperately needing more pass catchers. Well here we are again. Coleman was a non-factor. Samuel dropped a catch, tougher than it needed to be but still a play there to be made. The final play of the game a pass catcher let us down. The more I think about it the more disgusted I am.

Hopefully Beane has finally learned that he needs to OVER invest in pass catchers. The only way we're winning a Super Bowl under this regime is with an offense that can completely steamroll the competition. We need someone other than Allen that can make the clutch play at the end. No more half measures. Go all in on giving Allen an offensive cast worthy of his talent.

Probably a rough time to point this out but the guy who dropped the ball was a pass catcher that we invested in.  The first pick in our last two drafts have been pass catchers.  Investment doesn't always equal fulfillment of need.  We have gone down that road with pass rushers as well.

Of course it is. It's a mediocre supporting cast. The notion that everyone eats was cute until our season was on the line and we have maybe, big maybe, 1 guy that you can reliably go to in a must have moment. Shakir is our best WR and he's a complimentary piece.

You want to know why Josh is getting so much MVP love? It's because his supporting cast is mediocre and people expected us to take a big step back. That's how good he is and unfortunately we just watched another prime year go down the toilet because we like to invest in mediocre tight ends and WRs who can't separate to save their lives (Coleman) or are invisible for 2/3 of the season (Samuel).

Rousseau is arguably our best D-Lineman.

That’s not saying a whole lot my friend. He will be demanding a hefty contract and he is absolutely not worth the money he will demand.

Coleman was a bad pick. He does not separate.

I'm willing to see how he develops but we can't count on it, that is for sure. The only guy signed on for next year that we can really count on is Shakir and he is a complementary piece, not a focal point. They need a focal point, ideally two.

Resign Hollins let Cooper and Douglas walk in FA. Need to find speed WR to play opposite Coleman. Coleman needs to put in some work this offseason on his route running and finding ways to get in and out of his breaks quicker.

Unless he basically rips his technique apart and rebuilds himself he is what he is. If the Bills want to maximise him......  big slot. That's where it's at.

His best position might be in the slot but we're going to keep watching him get blanketed on the boundary because this team has more slot guys than they know what to do with.

That's why I said over invest. We used our past two 1st round picks on pass catchers. That's a half measure and neither of them have lived up to their draft value yet. I want to go full bore this time around. Just see what happens if we go almost over the top on that side of the ball. What have we got to lose? The other strategy isn't working. Two years in a row the offense had the ball with a chance to win and couldn't close the deal.

I was begging for us to take Ladd McConkey in the draft. He was pretty damn good this year for the Chargers. Coleman seems like a good kid and may turn out okay next year but Ladd would have been a game changer for us this year.  We need a speed guy and will have cap space, so maybe there will be someone in UFA?  Hollins obviously is a must resign guy.

Coleman is ust about to finish his combine 40 and...

Spending a first rounder on a pass catching H back this year.  I know you want an actual receiver with speed that separates, but have you heard of positionless football?  Everyone eats, or starves like Ethiopian children.

Yep. He is a big slot. His best asset is his power and agility with ball in hand.

Playing devil's advocate here but if that argument works for pass catchers how come it doesn't work for pass rushers?

It’s not even close. The problem is the defense. Been for 6 years. Our offense is the only reason we win. It’s plain as day. Every single issue with this team is the defense.

With the exception of the 17 - 3 win over Baltimore in the 2020 playoffs the defense has been the primary cause of the Bills exits from the playoffs that last 6 years.  And I include the Houston game where we blew a 16 - 0 lead late in the 3rd quarter.

I will say this.... unfortunately this is not the draft to need a receiver.

I did some work on the receiver class this past week. I have one first round grade and three second round grades. Then a handful (4 or 5) 3rd round grades.

The weakest receiver class in a fair few years.

The Bills might have to get creative with a vet.

Because Andy Reid and Mahomes are too good. Exactly one DL has beaten them in the playoffs. In fact the Bengals beat them by intentionally only rushing 3. They've faced some monster DLs over the years and none of it has mattered. You beat them by scoring 40 and leaving no doubt at the end.
