Kelly to Allen Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago 18 hours ago, Jerome007 said: Reid and Spagnola are much better coaches, no doubt, but what getting rid of McD would do? It would depend on WHO would replace him. So for people wanting his firing, go ahead, suggest HC candidates available right now. Not just "fire McD". Do you "fire" Cook because Barkley is better? Who would say that makes sense? As for never beating the Chiefs. While the cold hard fact is that while the Bills are 0-4 against them in the playoffs, losing by one field goal, in OT, by 3 points... it's a clear sign they CAN beat them, even if they haven't. Which is why it's soooo frustrating. Even the KC Superbowl last year was won in OT, yet somehow, it's like they are way above every other team according to the narrative. It's quite maddening they keep on winning. But they ARE beatable. Why do ppl keep asking, " Oh no, like who's going to replace McDermott, omg " Dude Sean McDermott is a decent coach and a strong leader. He has an all time, all time QB. Any replacement level, chan gailey, dick Jaroun, type coach would be in this same position every year with Allen more or less. The goal is to win multiple super bowls. Full stop. Kc right now has the best model. The 80s 49ers, the Shanahan broncos etc are a similar model. I want Allen as he enters his prime to have something very close to that model going forward. Because 1, it gives us the best chance to win multiple super bowls and 2 , right now there is a serious coaching gap between the bills and kc and it's not something we're going to overcome. I don't trust this front office/ coaching infrastructure and vision with Allen. And the supposed benefits of having a patriot -bellicheck model are not working in the playoffs. In fact , it's a detriment not a benefit. The defense is historically bad in the playoffs. Quote
