In a game like this he can’t make one of those garbage throws, much less two. Seriously who cares? Two shaky throws on the first series? BFD. Allen was making lemonade out of lemons all night long. After today's game Allen is 0 - 4 versus the Chiefs in the playoffs in spite of throwing 11 TD passes and only 1 INT. Allen can not be expected to do more then he's doing in these games. 1 Quote
harmonkillebrew Posted Monday at 03:35 AM Posted Monday at 03:35 AM I think I'm putting this more on Beane and our personnel scouts. There were a bunch of failed #1 picks on display tonight. Xavier Worthy showing didn't help either. The coaching wasn't so bad. Not better than KC, but not bad. The lack of talent on the team really showed more. 3 1 Quote

Allen threw a TD on 4th down to tie the game up, converted multiple 4th downs and kept the Bills in the game time after time. That end of the 1st half TD drive was the definition of a winning play. And on his last pass Allen put the ball on the hands of his TE at the KC 25 ad the ball was dropped. There is nothing a reasonable fan could have expected from Allen today. NOTHING. To suggests otherwise is to display a complete lack football knowledge. If you watched that game and think Josh played his best you outta your mind. They neeed his best game and he didn’t deliever. Still had a chance at the end to win it with 3 mins left with timeouts and didn’t deliver. 1 Quote
Comebackkid Posted Monday at 03:38 AM Posted Monday at 03:38 AM same things we have seen all season for the most part. the D line cannot get pressure with out blitzing and even then its no guarante. watching the D so many times i like..u guys are just dumb.. they fall for the same things over and over. time and time again the time it takes them to react to a play is mind boggling. I know we need an upgrade of some players but i think some of it has to fall on coaching. Joe Brady.. the dude has one gear...one plan. I've said it before..we get so caught up running the ball we forget we still need some variety...we still need to use it to set up the pass. we still need to maybe use the arm of the superstar qb. watching the offensive plays i am constantly wondering what they actually practice during the week. again like the Defense they do the same stupid things over and over. twice this year ( atleast) they have used a horrible fade to the corner when its a do or die situation... and speaking of do or die situations...there is no special..this is our we have to have this play for the game....infact the worse we need the points it seems like the worse the play calling is. 1 1 Quote
Since1981 Posted Monday at 03:40 AM Posted Monday at 03:40 AM Loss two yrs in a row by 3 to KC? that is coaching. (That doesn’t include :13) 1 1 Quote

You couldn’t ask for more than that. Sure, the fake punt was bad but he kept a banged up Bills team in the game. Edited Monday at 03:43 AM by Beast Quote

It is not reasonable to expect Allen to have to play his BEST game every week. It will never happen because IT CAN'T HAPPEN. Haven't you been listening to Greg Cosell? Allen played great tonight but he was Batman instead of Super Man. And hell if Kincaid holds on to the ball, as any NFL receiver should have, we would be calling Allen Superman. You better hope that Allen never figures out that the only way hes getting to a Super Bowl is to play like Superman in every playoff game. Because if he does he might decide to get out of town before he turns into Dan Fouts or Dan Marino. Quote

Turk71 Posted Monday at 03:45 AM Posted Monday at 03:45 AM That 1st down run for no gain to the backup rb on the Bills most important drive in decades said it all.......pathetic. These guys are straight up holding Josh and the team back. More interested on 2nd and 2 with gaining a 1st down than scoring points; have the smallest guy on the field pushing Allen on their many ill-advised and horribly executed qb sneaks, as if they're mentally deficient. I have a sneaking suspicion that next season Bishop will have a breakout year and become our best 2nd round pick of 2024. I also am nervous that Coleman is going to go in the dumpster. Allen and Brady are going to need to work with a lot in the off season. I mean it was a hard play to change....it was going to stay as called on the field. The ball hit the ground clearly but that does not make it incomplete. Quote

Chugga Posted Monday at 03:51 AM Posted Monday at 03:51 AM I think it was a massive failure of our offensive coaching staff to not have a tush push wrinkle. Every team knows we are going to tush push and our success rate is fantastic but all year long I assumed we had a play in our back pocket that we’d pull out for a massive gain. But we didn’t. We kept running into a brick wall on the same snap count. We didn’t even have a wrinkle to go over the right side. To me that’s a failure in self scouting to not have a counter punch to a play you’ve run all season. It’s also a failure to assume that Spagnuola would have no answer for something you’ve put on tape for 50+ weeks Quote

It was not his best for sure but that is also a tough place to play against a great defense with a DC who throws a lot at you. He was bad on the first drive, the dive over the top for the QB sneak was pretty much guaranteed to be a fumble, bad play there by Josh.....He also did not hurt them too bad, he played well enough to win. Here is the thing with Josh, when he gets in a check mate situation he will do wild things.....they needed to stop the sneaks but they just kept doing them it was dumb. Quote

brianthomas Posted Monday at 04:04 AM Posted Monday at 04:04 AM as for the coaching, yeah McDermott isn't as good as Reid, but look at the Buffalo Sabres & be thankful for what you got with the Bills, because it could be worse. We just have to hope that Sean continues to work on himself & improve, just as we do for the rest of the roster. Given what most of us forecasted this season to be, i'd say they overachieved this year, given their deficiencies coming into the year. I know we all hate to hear it but: NEXT YEAR IS THE YEAR! 🤣 Quote
Chugga Posted Monday at 04:07 AM Posted Monday at 04:07 AM James Cook had 13 carries for 85 yards. That’s a coaching failure in every aspect. I’d like to know what this game would have looked like with him having 25 carries. 1 Quote
Jimmy Harris 69 Posted Monday at 04:16 AM Posted Monday at 04:16 AM (edited) We need safeties that make big plays. Hamlin stinks. He shows up late to every play, concussed benford on a late tackle. We could have used Lewis Cine today. I’ll never understand the slavish devotion to Hamlin, I swear it’s religiously based. Cine is bigger and faster. McDermott will always play a less athletic guy who “knows the D” . That decision didn’t work with Klein last year and it didn’t work with Hamlin this year. I know, he’s the coach, and I’m here on the couch and but it drives me bananas . Edited Tuesday at 06:27 PM by Jimmy Harris 69 1 Quote
