Don't worry. McDermott will learn from this.

I’m watching the scenes from the streets of Philadelphia. Total joy.

We will never see that in WNY with McClappy at the helm.

Okay, so let’s fire him and watch his replacement go 8-9 for three seasons until he’s fired. Rinse and repeat.

How about the fact that the offense put up enough points where they could even put together a final drive. KC hasn’t scored 30 points all season! This was literally the worst defensive performance of the season against the Chiefs and the 2nd best offensive performance against the Chiefs.

You have to look at the whole game. Defense was terrible (but that was predictable).

That's what I'm saying.

What we got out of the D was predictable, especially after Benford left and no Rapp from the start.  I knew going into this game it was going to fall on the offense to win the game.  2 missed 2pt tries and two turnovers on downs.

Not sure what you were expecting, especially with  no Rapp, no Benford.

This would've happened last week had we not gotten some key turnovers.

This game went exactly how I expected.  The defense struggled against a seasoned HOF QB at home and the offense missed opportunities to put points on the board and keep drives alive.

KC had their best output today all season on offence.

I would expect the bills defence to hold them under 30, as KC was under 30 all season with the exception of one game where they were right at 30.

This is not the Tyreek Hill/prime Travis Kelce Chiefs offence where you should need 35 points to win

It's as though people just thought the Bills could show up and put 40+ on the Chiefs. Offenses win games, defenses win championships. Considering who they were up against, the offense did fine overall. Did they have a few miscues? Yes. So did the Chiefs. But 29 should be enough to win a game. Especially against a team that hadn't scored over 30 all season.

I do have an issue with how hard the Bills have to work for points compared to other top teams, and it feels like it's down to Josh and Cook to get them over the line again and again. That has to change next year. There's too much expectation on too few people. Again.

Out-coached once again as McDermott proves once again he is not a big game coach. Outplayed for much of the game, yet, with the game on the line, and an all out jail break in his face, Allen puts a ball on the money only for Kincaid to drop the ball. Just once I want someone on this team to step up and make a play besides Allen. Allen wasn't perfect tonight as he obviously needed to be, but in the moment where he needed to be a miracle worker, he delivered an almost impossible ball only for his target to not make the play. Was it an easy catch? No. But I like Kincaid and I hold that guy to a high standard. That's a catch he needs to make and I am sure he would tell you the same.

I have a lot of issues with this game. Some to do with coaching. Some to do with the players. And, of course as we all knew would happen, I have some major issues with the refs (there were at least 3 bogus spots that cost us big time. Who knows, that last one may have cost us the game). But man.....I just don't have it in me right now. There have been games I have absolutely thought we were the better team in and deserved to win. Tonight, with the way we played, and the way this game was coached, we were kind of lucky to even be in the game with a chance.

It's frustrating and aggravating because going into this season, the expectations were not super high for us. We let 10 starters go and we had $70+ million in dead cap space. We couldn't sign anyone and couldn't improve the team at all. Heck, most didn't have us even making the Playoffs. But here we are again, one game away from the Super Bowl with an inferior roster in a lot of ways, and we are living and dying with this team.

It's probably unfair to them in a lot of ways because by all accounts, we overachieved this season. Just watching them this year you could see how obvious it was that we need 2 WRs with some actual speed and separation ability (outside of Shakir, we have nobody that ever gets open consistently.  Everything is tightly covered with pretty much every WR on this team.  Get me some guys that can win off the line). We are in desperate need of a dominant 1-tech. Our safeties are a weak spot and we can't generate a consistent pass rush. We saw it all season and we saw it tonight. So we knew we were a flawed team all year, but they always found a way to hide those inadequacies just enough to keep winning. Unfortunately, that is no conciliation and it just really hurts. Will we have a better roster next season because we will actually have some money to spend? Probably.....but situations change and you never know what injuries you are going to have. That's why, when you are in this situation, whether you should be there or not, you have to take advantage of it. And we didn't tonight. Hopefully, we'll get another shot at it at some point. Most likely, if we stay healthy, we'll have a shot to be right back in this game next season, but nothing is guaranteed and I am just sick and tired of waiting for next year.

He's not ready for this. It's his 4th game against them & he couldn't get anything going. And let's not act like 2020 AFCCG was good either, but at least that we his first try.

He's not getting better in these games, and we never look as sharp as KC does. It's clear that they outclass us.

Bro. There was a handful of throws to start the game that should have been better but that was pretty much it.

I saw

  • a solid OLine all year get eaten alive in pass blocking 70% of the time.

  • An OC who gave him no chance at audibles in those short yardages and continued forcing the issues.

  • An OC who, after your RB was Cooking them up, stopped using him.
  • skill positions who, and all season long, continued to get no separation
  • motioning shakir in the backfield didn’t work all season but Brady continued
  • A TE who dropped an absolute throw from the stars with the game on the line
  • one offensive player on KC took THREE of our defenders out on that jet roll by Mahomes on the drive to ice the game

Josh left a couple of plays on the field but the majority of this game’s failings fall on Joe Brady and the offensive coaching staff.

Refs played their part with some horrific calls but it is what it is. We expected it. Defense was never going to be great but they made a stop to force a FG when the game could have “been put out of reach”.

Offensive coaching was the difference. We kept running into a brick wall with the play calls. Reid & Co. designed plays to run around or over the wall….

It's not just one thing. The Bills were screwed by the refs and by themselves. Kincaid dropped two, possibly not simple, but not impossible catches that NFL players should make. I'd even aportion some blame on Samuel, though that was a Jackson-Andrews situation from last week, where the throw should have also been better. And then the defense... I'm not giving them a pass just because they managed a couple of stops. Well done, that's what defenses should do. Mahomes rolled to the right all night. Josh rolls to the left on tush pushes - the Chiefs noticed this and stopped it. Too much to ask for a change in game plan?

This is the thing with me about McDermott.   Attention to detail, especially in the playoffs.   Overly relying on the systems.

They had the tush push defensed and only once did we try a two count coming out of a time out.  Give me a break Coach Obvious!

Meanwhile Mahomes is running that sweep right with impunity and down a defender in that area all night.

Elam had that stupid face mask penalty but we take our most athletic press DB and have him play way off his receiver  all night.  At least give him some chances to perform.

So many small details Reid accounted for and ours didn't.   I don't want McDermott fired but want to hear how he improves his coaching and retools our defense.  He needs to more fully realize what it takes to win these games.

You just have to give Reid all the credit. Along with the refs vision on spots. He’s getting serviceable production from Kareem Hunt for gods sake. He’s just better at preparing for a particular opponent than anyone by a mile. They’re not that talented. I’m biased but i think if you swap qb’s and Rb’s for these 2 teams he beats McDermott by 3 touchdowns.

The different was on defense. The Bills defense let the Chiefs score over 30 for the first time this season. Ignoring the week 18 rollover, the Chiefs defense has only let one team score 30+. The Bills in week 11.

Here's the problem.  All of us watching tonight were calling for McD's head right after the game but then I asked them who would you like to replace McD there wasn't a lot of answers.

This week we saw 7 new coaches hired.  The only one of those guys I might be interested in talking about would be Vrable.  But he's another D minded coach who didn't do as well at TN as McD has done in Buffalo.

I mean do any of you want Pete Carrol? The Detroit assistant coaches were the hot commodities but how confident are you that they're actually going to be any good?  I'm not.

Let's look at who is making the Super Bowls the last few years:

*  Chiefs: best coaches and 2nd best GM in football.

*  Eagles: average coaches but the best GM in football.

*  SanFran: 3rd best coaches and 3rd best GM in football.

*  LA Rams: 2nd best coaches and 4th best GM in the NFL

*  Bengals: Fluke.

It's not insane to say that McD & Bean may be as high as the 5th best coach/GM in football.  Without doubt they're in the top 10.

Our only choice at this point is that the Bills have to make it work with McD/Bean.  To part ways would be just to risky.

So we’re stuck with trying to push a square peg in a round hole. Kind of like McD did tonight on 4th down. Lol

Remember after the Rams game when he said he called for the best play instead of passing, do you think Brady made those calls tonight or McD wanted the best play. I don’t believe Brady wouldn’t want to mix it up.

It was down to Josh that the Bills got to 29.

But if you truly believe he's not ready for this then there's only one solution - trade him. Blow it all up and start again. Because if he's not ready now he never will be.

And if the Bills do trade Allen I can predict an outcome as certain as the sun rising in the East:  Allen will get to and win multiple Super Bowls with his new team and the Bills will return to the irrelevancy of the lost years.

Allen had the 3 best throws of the game. 3rd and 13 to Shakir, and the two deep balls to Hollins.

Mahomes best pass was a 50/50

ball to Worthy that should have been an incomplete pass.

So, so sick of this.

I don't care how much I get downvoted - I'm going to try to quit football. I've put up w/ this since the Harmon drop. I thought I was tough - I'm not.  I'm a wimp. This hurts way, way too much.

Gotta step away.
