Agreed. I'm just looking big picture- 29 points should be enough to win.

Did the offence have a chance and could they have done better at the end? Ya for sure.

But I'm looking at the game from a macro view - Almost 400 yards of offence and 29 points on the road against a top 5 D is pretty damn good

The reality is that the defense was 90% responsible for the loss and the offense was 10% responsible.  Yet we have Bills "fans" blaming the O.  The fact is that in the off season they must fix the defense whch means that beyond signing Cook & Shakir to extensions the FA money is going to go to the D.  The O will have to depend on the draft.

I think adjust expectations. We are currently in a new drought. Playoffs perennials, but KC's plaything. Just have to hope for some other team to beat KC in the playoffs. We have had 4 shots in 5 years...safe to say it will never happen.

No one is going to do it…I don’t think people are really keeping an eye on what other teams are doing but all the other well regarded coaches in the league are dreadful against kc.  Reid would love to see mcd fired im sure lol

This game came down to a few players being unavailable. Rapp and Benford being out was huge. Elam was a huge liability and it showed. The game couldve gone either way.

Defense played well except for Elam.

Offense did decent.

I just can't handle losing against one team over and over like it's groundhog day. I'm so sick of the Chiefs

So you’re good with this happening a 5th time next year?

A different coach doesn’t have us in this position next year.

Ok let's end on this- And then we can agree to disagree if need be.

If someone told you before the game and you didn't know the outcome from the chiefs offence:

The bills got 29 points, 374 yards, and won the time of possession.

Would you have taken that, yes or no?

Not if you had also told me they blew two 2 point tries and turned the ball over on downs twice.

Not in KC in the playoffs.

It really depends on who they bring in and what resources they spend. It would be hard to be worse than this year though, so I feel like they will be better.

We’ve dumped tons of money and picks into pass rushers and our pass rush still sucks. We rely on late round picks and cheap free agents for our secondary. We use mid round picks on linebackers. I have no confidence in the defense being better next year…..it’s been a middling defense for 2 seasons now!

Yep. Got a feeling the bills will go DE/DT in the draft.

Its same story- Pass rush not good enough, defensive backs can't cover, and out coached by Andy

Not sure I agree.  For the second year in a row, the offense had the ball in the waning minutes and could have won the game with a TD drive, but couldn’t even get a FG.  That’s not good enough.

Just a thought…perhaps we should stop trading our draft picks to them…

People complained for years about the Bills drafting defense at the expense of the  offense and not surrounding Josh with enough weapons.

We have drafted defense. Unfortunately, many of those picks didn't work out.

Well I would say one of the turnover on downs was because they had to go for it at the end cause the D didn't do their job letting up 32

But that's fair, we can agree to disagree.

Respectfully though , I think you're over rating this chiefs offence a lot. Houston absolutely dominated them last week and they showed this season they are just an above average offence.

And it's extremely tough to get 30 plus points on Spags. (I think the only Time they let up 30 this year was against the bills)

maybe a giant meteor will strike the Chiefs’ sideline in the regular season at some point and we’ll dodge them in the tournament.

Don't get me excited.

So how are we supposed to feel

about these playoff loses?

"hey great season so proud of your guys"

"Fire everyone"

"we're never going to win the big one or even get that chance?"

im somewhere with all of of. Well maybe not fire everyone but I do know there will be coaching turnover and maybe in some cases it'll be good.

I just don't know what to make of it all anymore.
the team

the league

the refs

its like we have been mind effed to question and doubt everything and everyone. Hell many think the league is rigged. What fun is watching anything of it's rigged? Might as well

not
idk I'm spent. Go Bills. Maybe in a few weeks or so it'll make more sense.

This sums it up for me.

I never go full pessimism - but I am now. We can't do it. We just can't do it.

I'm out.

What's the answer?

Can someone give me any reason not to walk away?  Why should we have hope for next year, or any year?

I'm an eternal optimist - but this is TOO MUCH.  It is way too much.

I think you should walk away. It sounds like you want to.
