How much faith do you have in our defense being better next year?

It really depends on who they bring in and what resources they spend. It would be hard to be worse than this year though, so I feel like they will be better.

Give me Spags to coach and whoever KC’s assistant gm at this point.  To run it back with this crew is insanity

Is Spags available?  And why would I think an assistant GM would be better then Bean.

I get that this is frustrating beyond belief and I have this sinking feeling that McD/Bean are never going to get the Bills over the hump BUT McD/Bean are at least a top 10 head coach/GM combo, and maybe even top 5.  The problem is that the better combo's are making it to the Super Bowls (with the exception of the fluky Bengal's season).

The odds that the Bills go backwards if they walk away from McD/Bean are pretty high IMO. But it's all a moot point given that there isn't a snowballs chance in hell that Pegula will fire McD/Bean.  It ain't happening.

I believe, maybe hope is the better word, that the Bills have reopened their Super Bowl window.  They exceeded expectations this season and EVERYTHING is lining up for them to be in a better position next season - from a lot of money for signing players, to a lot of draft picks, a bunch of young improving players and 9 home games the Bills are in a great position for next season.

So yea, we're back to "wait until next season".

I think I’m done. NFL is “entertainment” not a sport.

State Farm and others who shell out $$$ wanted KC in the SB again

How does Buffalo get on the other end of this? Can we buy enough Hailey merch? Can Pegula buy a seat onto the reffing oversight committee? What exactly is needed to buy these wins? Because we have seen it from multiple franchises now - an inexcusable bias. I personally am not above it - how does Buffalo buy it?

What's the answer?

Can someone give me any reason not to walk away?  Why should we have hope for next year, or any year?

I'm an eternal optimist - but this is TOO MUCH.  It is way too much.

Hell of a game, guys.  Let’s do it again next year.

No thanks. Enjoy the 3peat. And the 4,5,6peat. Maybe if KC gets bored one year we will sniff a title.

Is this a good stat or a bad one?

Typically a stat indicative of success.  Unfortunately, sometimes we can't outscore what the defense gives up

There's good and not quite good enough when you know your defense is the weak link.

Brady didn't bring his A game today the offense squandered opportunities we normally capitalize on.

When you know what you weakness is, it's up to the other aspects of the game to compensate.

KC scored 21 against us earlier this year in our house. It's not a stretch to think they would do better in a playoff game in their house.

Ok let's end on this- And then we can agree to disagree if need be.

If someone told you before the game and you didn't know the outcome from the chiefs offence:

The bills got 29 points, 374 yards, and won the time of possession.

Would you have taken that, yes or no?

oh it wouldn’t be hard at all to be worse.  They were pretty awesome at home.  On the road was another matter, though…

How about we don’t ask the offense to have the greatest offensive playoff performance of the last 5 years in the NFL just for a chance to win because our defense is that bad. It’s an unrealistic expectation.

Thank you! We are allowed to play good defense against the Chiefs in the playoffs…..we forced 6 total punts in 4 playoff games against them.

It's a bad one who you're on the losing side of it.

what more should they do ?

Win the game or get a  D ?

Nope - but I'm staying - take care

Bottom line, our D ,with 2 questionable backups starting, got 2 clutch stops in a row in the 2nd half, then allowed a fg on the next. ( amazing and quite unexpected!) Our Offense had a chance to go up 8 and failed on 4th and 1, then failed at the end down 3 with 3:30 left and 3 time outs to go for the win.

 Offense lost the game, period.

I think adjust expectations. We are currently in a new drought. Playoffs perennials, but KC's plaything. Just have to hope for some other team to beat KC in the playoffs. We have had 4 shots in 5 years...safe to say it will never happen.

Okay, so let’s fire him and watch his replacement go 8-9 for three seasons until he’s fired. Rinse and repeat.

So you’re good with this happening a 5th time next year?

Just to add to the “defense sucks and is why we lost” argument.

Allen was gashing them with throws down the field. Especially the middle of the field. But we have to play small ball and ball control offense because we know our defense cannot compete in a shootout. It changes the offensive gameplan and partially is a cause of these 3rd/4th and shorts.

maybe a giant meteor will strike the Chiefs’ sideline in the regular season at some point and we’ll dodge them in the tournament.

Somewhere in the draft can we identify a 6 foot 7, 315lb blocking TE and assign him a number in the 80's and make him TE #3, otherwise simply convert Anderson to TE and change his number.

Unless this reporting eligible rule somehow changes it will continue to be a problem like Anderson found out tonight and then that Detroit game previously with Skipper. Just a random thought.
