A very disappointing season for Kincaid as a whole.  I think Knox was clearly the better of the two.

Don't want to call him a bust yet, but definitely a sophomore slump. Clearly underachieved and underperformed this year.

Can’t argue with that.  Disappointing season for 86.  Sigh

I'm bummed, but not as devastated as I thought I would be.

Probably just numb at this point. We are KCs b****. It is what it is.

Hopefully one year someone else knocks them off.

this whole “You gotta beat the champs, to be the champs,” is nonsense. KC isn’t a good matchup for us. Let someone else take them out for us one time. Just like the Steelers in 2005, 2009,

and 2011– they couldn’t beat Brady and the Pats, and some other team did it for them.

Other than QB, I'm really not down with any elite contract.

Milano is too often injured to justify his dollars.

Oliver inconsistant

Tre was a shame

Von is burnt

Diggs.  (head slap)

OK, I'll give you Dawkins.  He's been a good extension, but so many others are burning money.

Let Groot walk & use comp picks to trade up and get actually elite players.  Our choices in the late 1st & 2nd rounds are questionable at best.  Cook is the only one in my mind that has met, or exceeded expectations.

I’d be fine with that. Ed you keep though given the recent contract and if you can pair him with a behemoth inside, a true NT, I think he can produce similar stats as 2023. AJ for the same contract reasons, he’s about average for a rotational rusher. Would like more but eh.

That secondary needs work. Benford/Taron are the only locks. Rapp but the injuries are piling up with him like Milano.

Of course Cook, he’s played amazing this year and that TD on 4th down?!? Well man. I’m absolutely gutted for him. That play would be on highlights for eternity if we won and made it to the Super Bowl.

Except that's where he should have looked the second he saw the blitz. Josh was surprised. Mahomes wouldn't have been surprised. That's why Mahomes is in almost every Super Bowl and Josh is always a bridesmaid.

Hard to say that. Spags is the best DC in the league and Mahomes never has to face him.

This loss hurts so much less than the others. Maybe I’ve just got so much scar tissue, it doesn’t hurt anymore. In retrospect, our team exceeded expectations this year. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year. Next year Bean has some money to work with and 10 draft picks. I don’t care about the superbowl.

Same for me. Conditioned to the fact we were going to lose in heartbreaking fashion.

All of the mistakes. Want the answers for all of them. See who’s to blame. Can it be fixed? If not, move on.

Kincaid. Hands. Can’t be saved. Gone. The only thing that made him NFL worth and he’s authorities at it. He’s now completely useless. Get him gone. Tough business.

Allen. Catching snaps n *****? Am at a loss. Looking like he’s not a rookie in his first ever game. At a loss, guy. Jesus. That sucked

Why can’t the Bills lineup legally all the sudden?? What the ***** happened???

Shakir was wide open on the bubble motion. A simple toss to him and he gains 20+.

Why was he not challenging the sticks on that play?  He's Josh's most reliable WR and he's deep in the backfield against an aggressive defense.  That should have been Samuel with Shakir beyond the sticks.

Yeah he didn't see it coming. Sometimes stuff is disguised well.

I feel more heartbroken for this guy than I do for myself

Losing by 3 two years in a row to the best team in the NFL does not mean you've got a coaching problem.  It means your team is very close to being the best in the league.  Anytime you lose by that close of a margin to the Chiefs there are a handful of plays that - if they went differently (or in some cases were called by refs differently) - the game might easily have gone the other way.  We need to keep the coaching staff we have, add some additional talent and keep at it to get to the mountain top.  Firing the coaches almost assuredly just makes you slide down the mountain again.  I'm sure many will puke on this but I think the Bills had a great year, despite not getting to the Super Bowl.

Yeah, I see your problem here. You're being logical. Not really the time or the place!

Oops, I forgot this was the "we lost, fire the coaches" thread .

They lost by three on the road at the Super Bowl Champions. Come on, I'm hurting, but try some perspective.

And as for the bull you're pulling on Josh - that was probably his worst game against the Chiefs in the play offs. He's normally in superman mode. Have to wonder what happened today, but to say he isn't ready for this? Again, try some perspective.

He's not ready for this. It's his 4th game against them & he couldn't get anything going. And let's not act like 2020 AFCCG was good either, but at least that we his first try.

He's not getting better in these games, and we never look as sharp as KC does. It's clear that they outclass us.

Need some better talent in spots next year:

1.  Coleman has not shown that he should be on the field.  Still need at least a #1 WR.

2. Elam should not be playing in any situation.  Probably will need at least two new corners next year, one to start and one to be in reserve for Bedford and the new starter.

3.  Doubt Miller will be back and we have a need for a stud DT (hard to know how much D. Jones has left) and DE.

4. Likely need a starter at one of the safety spots.  Not sure if Bishop has shown enough to be a starter next season.

I’m just sad that Kincaid’s drop took away a play that could have been talked for forever. Could you imagine if they converted there and Allan ran out the clock to a game-winning TD? Would have been legendary…

I haven't gone back to look at the first formation penalty against Anderson, but I watched him on the 2nd one they called at the time and went back to see it on replay and he was lined up like an H back inside of Kincaid.  That was a truly incorrect call.

I lost my dad, my brother, and my best friend.  'Next year' only goes so far with me.  I wanted so bad for my 1000th post to be the Bills winning the super bowl.  It took me 23 years to get there.  Love you all.  You make the offseason fun and there's no place I'd rather than be than here with you at TBD.  See you at the home opener with renewed faith and optimism.  Let's go Buffalo, til the day they put dirt over me.

I just didn’t want it to come down to:

the refs-  the spot by the one ref that snatched the ball while the other ref had clearly given it to us;   and the worthy “catch”-  sigh

injuries-  Benford goes down- Elam gets victimized.

kickers-  bass did his part.

Kincaid sucks-  😢

If you look at their individual performances, it’s hard to say Mahomes outplayed Allen. Allen had way more high difficulty throws and had to play against the much tougher defense. It is what it is, but the Chiefs are more well balanced, better special teams and better coaching.

I'm struggling with too much blame on the defense. Other than when they laid down and had their tummies tickled by the Broncos in week 18, the Chiefs only gave up more than 27 twice all season. Both against the Bills.

They've only scored more than 30 once all season. Tonight.

The bottom line to me is that the offense was put in position to win the game or at least tie.  How many QBs legacies are based on games just like this one?

Given the circumstances of the blitz there, Josh put the ball in position to keep the drive alive. They couldn't convert.

We won last week because of turnovers.  I knew going into this game KC doesn't turn it over very often and it was going to take our offense simply outscoring them.  We left 4 points on the field on two bad 2 pt tries and also turned the ball over on downs twice (one very questionable).
