Spags called a corner blitz that he hadn't called all game. They never saw it coming. The Chiefs have the best offensive and best defensive mind on their sideline. Hard to beat that. 3 Quote
Real McClappy Posted January 27 Posted January 27 At some phase McD lovers will woke DA ***** up? Quote
GolfandBills Posted January 27 Posted January 27 They better load up on defense this offseason. The offense had their short comings this game but the defense just isn’t good enough Quote
Georgia Bill Posted January 27 Posted January 27 5 minutes ago, Since1981 said: This loss is on the coach, again. You all do realize losing by 3 two years in a row means coaching. Losing by 3 two years in a row to the best team in the NFL does not mean you've got a coaching problem. It means your team is very close to being the best in the league. Anytime you lose by that close of a margin to the Chiefs there are a handful of plays that - if they went differently (or in some cases were called by refs differently) - the game might easily have gone the other way. We need to keep the coaching staff we have, add some additional talent and keep at it to get to the mountain top. Firing the coaches almost assuredly just makes you slide down the mountain again. I'm sure many will puke on this but I think the Bills had a great year, despite not getting to the Super Bowl. 2 Quote
Success Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I can't even remember this in sports history. We've gotten SO CLOSE. But we just can't get over the top. I can't, man. I'm really dying here. It's the toughest thing I've ever had to deal with. Quote

The O was put in position to, at the very minimum, tie the game, or do what elite offenses do there and go score a TD to win. They also blew 4 points on two bad 2 pt attempts. There's plenty of blame to go around here. I know- But big picture at the end of the day, I think getting 29 points on the road against a good defence should be plenty. Wouldn't you agree? 1 Quote
MPT Posted January 27 Posted January 27 2 minutes ago, familykwi said: Did the refs tell McD to take the XP off the board? Did they tell him to go for 2 again unnecessarily early in the 3rd? Nope. How the Bills manage that last drive looks a lot different if they are down by 1, driving for just the FG position. Instead, they are down by 3 & need a TD to take the lead. 3 will be no better than a tie. All of that forces them to play for the potential to drive the whole field. Not to mention, why on Earth is Johnson running on 1st down to start the last drive. It's like the Bills are playing to trick KCs coaches at every turn. Fingers crossed KC gets their 3-peat & Reid retires. Going for 2 made sense in both situations. Those were both bad play calls and bad execution. None of it mattered anyway. You literally can not beat the guys who make up the rules. Quote

It's truly amazing how so many refunds to put blame on how dreadful the Offense was. Scoring 29 points against the Chiefs defense on the road is exceptional. The offense wasn’t dreadful at all. 1 Quote

Julio Hopkins Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Just now, familykwi said: I was actually pleased with the FG. I was displeased with the offensive play calling on the last drive. 1st Down Johnson run (Not Cooks) 2nd down Cooks in, but he runs a route to the flat (which Johnson does well) Shakir runs the bubble motion on the fatal play in such a way that Josh's most reliable receiver is not really involved in a route anywhere near the sticks. I cannot make sense of any of it It's the same mindset they had last week against the Ravens and last year against the Chiefs. Brady is SUPER conservative when the game is on the line. It's a terrible trait to have for a coordinator. He's the exact opposite of Spags who is naturally aggressive in important moments. 1 Quote
Thrivefourfive Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I get the Bills weren’t supposed to be here, but why oh why did they completely EMBARRASS us. Why doesn’t Rasul Douglas understand that he needs to hit the brakes sooner due to his lank ass so he has a chance to tackle. Joshie. Jesus Christ bro. Headlights much. I can’t summon a straight face and say he’s ready for this. If he is, anyday, pal. I’m not going anywhere. I am blind as a bat BECAUSE I HAVE NO CLUE WHY JAMES COOK WASNT MAXED OUT TONIGHT. Best player on the field. McDermott. That’s it. Gotta go. Don’t care no more. He’s not smart enough. Every time the chiefs need a play, they run a good play, while the Bills look like it’s training camp—offense or defense, same thing. Beyond embarrassing. The 2 pointer by the cheifs.. it was a football play. The Bills throw a rock inside a cave. THE GAME ON THE LINE AT THE END and I seriously didn’t think the Bills knew the significance of the moment. And then tge Chiefs just gain 15 yards as if WHAT?! I don’t get it anymore guys.. he is going to lose every single one of these games he ever coaches for the Bills. Watch and find out. 1 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted January 27 Posted January 27 1 minute ago, DapperCam said: If Allen scored a TD there to win, it would be the most points given up by KC in like 4 years and their defense is way better now. If that is what it takes to win, then it’s too much. The defense needs to be better. The KC offense was mediocre this year. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts. The point is even as bad as they were, and don't forget we lost Bedford, the Bills D did enough to give Josh a chance and we couldn't cash it in. 1 Quote

I agree with you, but the offense left points out there. Some of the play calling was dreadful, whetehr that was Brady or Josh changing it at the line. 29 is based on Josh being a miracle worker even when he's not at his best. 1 Quote

Its a backwards philosophy- They need to start bringing in more man to man players in their back 7, instead of playing heavy zone all season and then trying to change it up in the playoffs Wasn't that what Elam was supposed to help with? Too bad he sucks at man too. Quote

Process Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I'm bummed, but not as devastated as I thought I would be. Probably just numb at this point. We are KCs b****. It is what it is. Hopefully one year someone else knocks them off. 2 Quote
Success Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I feel like I can't even exist right now. What the *****? Are sports fans supposed to endure THIS MUCH? I hate to be a girl about it - but man, this is unreal. I don't know how I'm supposed to get through this and continue w/ my life. 1 Quote
