You simply can not beat a team when you intercept the ball and the refs just give the other team the ball.

I say this every single year, the difference between the Bills and the Chiefs, especially in the postseason, is the Chiefs make the plays when it matters most and the Bills dont. That is the sole difference. We had 3rd and short and 4th and inches with the chance to go up 8 in the 4th quarter and failed. Defense holds the Chiefs to a FG and we get the ball back with 3 minutes left and we fail to get down the field to score. We have two opportunities to get the ball back and we fail to get the ball back.

 

You want to blame that on coaching okay, you want to blame that on talent level okay but that is the difference year in and year out in this series.

It was a game of inches. All day long. I would have run cook - but if we did every single person on this board would have said "why aren't we running the sneak"

 

I even posted this week about hoping we'd scheme more than josh's legs, and was VERY quickly shut down. 

 

This was inches. We keep coming up against a coaching unit that NOBODY but us beats. But ***** me if we aren't the closest to doing it. 

 

The 4th down call was the game. Winded us. I think it was probably just about right tbh. But it was still a matter of inches. 

 

The very best coaching team in the NFL, and the most successful QB of his generation are now only inches - instead of just seconds-  better than us in postseason.

 

It's heartbreaking BECAUSE we're so close to them.

Defensively I’m not sure what the game plan was? I’m never sure what the game plan is against KC in the playoffs with McDermott as the HC tho! Just wasted seasons under McDermott….its time to move on from him. 2025 offseason better put the emphasis on offense….not below average ends that get no pressure!

Also: The Bills have lost to the Chiefs in 4 playoff games. Each of those playoff games was the game the Chiefs scored their most points in the playoffs for that year (13 seconds - 42 was tied the week before with the Steelers)

I don't care to see the league carry the Chiefs to a "3-peat" as if that will make most of the country hate them less, especially when they make it so obvious.

What happened to the top down view that really looked obvious that we made the first?  We get a glimpse of it then nevermore...

I had no intention of coming here for a few days but ***** it. This is what being a Bills fan is. And anytime anyone ever comes at you for being negative or skeptical, just know you are well within your rights and it’s not your fault. It’s bull#### TBH. To have this offense for 5 years and can’t break through. It’s inexcusable. This coach needs to be only a figure head or fired. An entirely new voice and scheme needs to be bright in. From the outside. Hopefully Allen pushes the issue because how can this possibly ever change?

It's not just one thing. The Bills were screwed by the refs and by themselves. Kincaid dropped two, possibly not simple, but not impossible catches that NFL players should make. I'd even aportion some blame on Samuel, though that was a Jackson-Andrews situation from last week, where the throw should have also been better. And then the defense... I'm not giving them a pass just because they managed a couple of stops. Well done, that's what defenses should do. Mahomes rolled to the right all night. Josh rolls to the left on tush pushes - the Chiefs noticed this and stopped it. Too much to ask for a change in game plan?

They don't make any more plays than we do. They get gifted 14 points by the referees. It's really that simple.

As bad as the D looked at times, they put the offense in a position to win the game with almost no time left. 

 

The offense turned the ball over on downs.  Plenty of blame to go around here.
