In review this was a rebuilding/retooling season.  Getting this far was a surprise. Looking at the stats, the Bills defense was just as good as KC.  Difference is at key moments KC's defense stopped the Bills.   Draft bigger and faster defenders.

Gotta take advantage of the opportunities we are given. Chiefs were “down” this year, we got lucky the Ravens had so many unforced errors, Bengals will be back, Chargers are rising.

We had the opportunity to win at the end, but one of our premier pick players dropped the ball literally and figuratively.

I will say the Chiefs are fortunate that they can essentially keep Spags forever because no one will hire him as a HC anymore.

For the Bills, I think it’s time to move on from McD. He’s a great coach, but I don’t think his defensive philosophy is good enough to get us over the hump.

I thought he had it from that angle but the other one down the line was not as flattering....it was going to stay whatever was called on the field.  The close call could have gone either way....after all the failed sneaks previous to that it was the wrong call, that is my beef, you can complain about the refs but they should have done something else there.

Outcoached on both sides of the ball, Allen was rattled too much of the game and missed too many throws, and our secondary was taking terrible angles all night. I didn't expect us to be here a few months ago, but watching them gift-wrap this game for KC was painful. Chance after chance and not a one of them could find a way to rise to the occasion.

Are we ever going to have a real discussion that maybe this group has peaked?

Brady's play calling was pathetic.

Our lack of a separator hurt the offense tonight. But they could’ve played Cooper more.

They pressured Allen a lot tonight because they had no fear of our WRs.

Short Benford I'm actually not supper disappointed in the defense.  They stopped the run and they stopped 2 drives, forced a turnover, and a FG.  Kincaid had to make that catch.  He was looking at the ball.  He didn't need to out jump anyone.  He just need to get his hands under it and not let it hit the ground.  TBH his big catch in the Broncos game was a drop also they just didn't get it reviewed in time.

They had Shakir run the little loop behind the line. No one covered him and there wasn't a defenseman within 20 yards.

Brady did poorly today. Taking Cook out in short yardage, not recognizing the defense on the qb sneaks. Nothing new in the offense and wasn't prepared for the blitzing.

Easy to defend.

Defense needs an overhaul,  secondary will have changes, need to improve the line.

The game turned on Brady vs Spags.

Brady didn’t cut it, but this is the umpteenth time our defense has been lit up by a mid KC offense.

Outcoached by the best coaching duo in the NFL again.

The secondary was awful- Hamlin, Elam and Douglas are probably all gone.

Josh missed too many throws on a night when he couldn't afford to.

Outcoached?

Benford went down and killed us.

This is a slow secondary.  I see a massive change in general, we started with Bishop...gonna be more speed added next offseason.

Coaching kept us in a season of $30m+ in dead cap.

Our defensive coaching came out and stopped KC to 11 in 2nd half.

Offense under Brady, plays were there.  Josh missed a few.  And when Mahomes misses literally zero, there was little wiggle room for error.  Josh to Samuel, Josh 1st drive.

I say Josh, not blaming him. But he came out jittery hence the 1st down designed run to him to calm his nerves.  He played lights out, except the Samuel miss.

Cook played possessed.  OL played great.

Sometimes you just lose to a team that is truly that good.

The Bills put up 29. How many points do you want to bail out this defense???

Every yard was a hard gain. Brady had no other plan for short yardage than failed tush push. The defense got a turnover plus made a couple stops. I don't care how KC played all year. They are about to be 3 time superbowl champs. The defense played well enough. Not good but well enough. Our O had a chance to close out the game and Kincaid dropped the ball, our oline couldn't protect, Brady didn't have easy pass plans like Mahomes had all game long.

It was a helluva fun season-- one that most people did not expect. What I don't expect many people to acknowledge is that just getting to this game in the first place far exceeded the expectations of the vast majority of analysts, and exceeded the expectations of most of the Bills fans who post on this forum.

Beane and company have a lot to work with in the offseason, and it's reasonable to expect that the Bills will field a deeper, and more complete team (especially on defense) in the '25/26 season.
