Chandler#81 Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago (edited) Years from now, this particular era -beginning this season, will be known as ‘Long Haired Josh’. It’s significantly different from his 1st 6 seasons which has seen many new team records achieved and a return to League prominence. His play has improved every year as a pro, but this season has been extraordinary-even by his standards. Point to a new woman, a team in total transformation or the finicky luck of the Gods. But from here on out, this is the birth of his 2nd stage and we’re the fortunate recipients of the memories we’ll soon experience. Edited 20 hours ago by Chandler#81 4 3 Quote
Ray Stonada Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I was at the game in 1994 with my best friend from high school. One of my very best memories as a fan. Thurman! Thurman! I can still hear it. The 2020 game, I watched with two friends from 12:30am to 4am German time. Upsetting but not crushing, as they were a better team at the time and more established. This time I feel cautiously confident. These Bills would beat these Chiefs 6 or 7 out of 10 times. This could be THE joyous moment after this five year run began in 2019. Go get it done, guys! Just play your game, don’t need to reach. We are here in your corner, and always will be. LET’S GO BUFFALO. 9 Quote

Scott7975 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) Man for once in a blue moon I went to bed at a normal time. What do I get for it? I wake up a few hours later and can't sleep. This is gonna be a long damn day. At the end of it, I might not sleep all week because I will be so excited we going back to the show. Quote Bills head coach Sean McDermott is in his eighth season at the helm in Buffalo, and he’s had consistently good teams, making the playoffs seven times. But he sees something special with this year’s version of the team. McDermott said in his final press conference before the AFC Championship Game that he has a group of players who are more mature, more appreciative of what it takes to get to the top, and more willing to put their own interests aside for a common goal. “They make it about the team, and I appreciate that, don’t take it for granted whatsoever,” McDermott said. “It is a maturation for some, and to some extent for others where they’re at in their careers: ‘I haven’t been able to get to this spot,’ or, ‘I know the days are winding down a little bit, or the years are winding down, and I’m going to do everything I can to make it about the team.’ And that is so important.” McDermott’s Bills haven’t been able to make it over the hump and get to the Super Bowl. This year’s team may have the best chance of any Bills team he has coached. In large part, McDermott believes, because of their mental makeup. Edited 19 hours ago by Scott7975 1 1 2 Quote

I keep thinking this is the case too but the Rams beat Bengals in Superbowl after 2021 season. Chiefs beat Bills in 13 second divisional game but then lost to Bengals in AFC championship game. 1 Quote

Rich Stadium Original Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Aside from the Bills execution, this could come down to officiating. Not only the refs ignoring the Mahommes roughing "flop" for 15 yards, but the Chiefs are notorious for being very "handsy" in their man coverage, and never getting a call. Think a few players on their o-line are weak..its led to a drop in production and increased sacks/pressure..hence all their reshuffling in the last few weeks..how far will the refs let them go in protecting Mahommes? Finally, it's amazing how their tackels are always "allowed" to line up so far behind the line of scrimmage and start early..despite ALL the analysts pointing it out every week. 1 2 Quote

I was 11 and it occurred to me that, living in Rochester, Buffalo was OUR team. (In those days, the Bills played the occasional preseason game at Aquinas Stadium in Rochester.) Anyway, this is an important anniversary for me. And against KC again! I am with you on that game. I was in junior high and that loss was a soul crushing defeat. I met Len Dawson at an autograph show in Chicago in the 90's. The first thing I said to him was "you broke my heart". His expression was like "oh no, what is coming next". I said to him, he beat the Bills to go to the first Suoer Bowl. His face lit up with a big smile "the old rock pile. They only had 2 showers in the visiting locker room and only one worked". He was a really good guy. It's time for payback. Get it done! GOOOOOO BILLS!!!!!!!! Edited 18 hours ago by longtimebillsfan 3 1 Quote
