Doc Posted yesterday at 03:00 PM Posted yesterday at 03:00 PM Good luck to him. I'll always love him for getting us Jerry. Quote
RobbRiddicksTDLeap Posted yesterday at 03:10 PM Posted yesterday at 03:10 PM That’s great! I always loved his attitude and passion. A little undersized for the NFL, but he played tough. Quote

Helped I think by the fact the Dline coach who was "next in line" had already been poached by Vrabel to be DC in New England. The Lions staff being plucked. EDIT: Ben Johnson has nicked Antwaan Randle El as his receivers coach and JT Barret as his QB coach too. One presumes Mark Brunell will take the Detroit OC job. An OSU QB will tell NFL QBs how to play QB in the NFL?? 1 Quote

Ya Digg? Posted yesterday at 03:45 PM Posted yesterday at 03:45 PM Just now, Mr. WEO said: not even close, why? What does playing at OSU have anything to do with coaching NFL QBs? Knowledge of how to do/coach something is different from having the talent to do it. The guy played in the league, he understands what to do Quote

I gotta imagine Dan Campbell is probably feeling a bit emptied by this. Disappointing divisional loss and it’s back to the drawing board for a lot of the schematics and play callers. I am picking them to have a tough year in 25 The Lions are super talented and they will be fine. Dan will make the right calls to get good coaches, 46 minutes ago, Doc said: Good luck to him. Utah John Posted yesterday at 04:43 PM Posted yesterday at 04:43 PM Getting us Jerry Hughes was a great move by the Bills. Sheppard was not exactly a bust but he was not playing well, and the Colts would have said the same thing about Hughes. Sheppard played only one year for the Colts and was released. Hughes was a mainstay of the Bills for several years. Quote

And you’re right, he never actually played in the league but did have stints with several teams-Seahawks, Steelers, and Saints Once again, knowledge and talent to do it are not the same thing. Quote

He was in a few camps. But to answer your question, no..."every coach in the league" has not been a star in the league. That obvious fact doesn't make this particular OSU QB NFL washout a more attractive candidate to take over coaching on a new staff a 2nd year QB that is going to need a LOT of coaching next year. You would be ok with a guy like Barrett would have been a solid pick to coach Josh Allen a few years ago over, say, Joe Brady? Quote
