Coen pulled the move to get what he wanted. Maybe Joe did the same to see if New Orleans upped an offer or something else he wanted. More money to take on a bad situation, perhaps. I really don't think so, but until the job is filled there's always a chance.

If you think Joe is a straight shooter than there's no way he's taking the job since he leaked the decision to the press.  I do agree though that it's not over until a hire is made.

He already declined the 2nd interview, he isn't going.

 

He will get much better offers in the future and there is no reason to jump at a bad one now.

Brady is not quite ready yet to be the HC ….

 

He has probably negotiated himself a nice bump in salary whilst working with JA another year ….and will probably have the pick of the jobs in 2026 …he will be 37 then …still plenty of time to make his money
