Bills are in the AFC Title game with

1) 2024's  10th youngest roster and

2) after managing past the league's 3rd largest dead cap hit ($75m, of which $70m becomes available for 2025)

What this tells me, assuming JA17 keeps rolling and no major rash of key IR injuries is that:

McBeanes in all likelihood will have this franchise right back here next season, regardless of what happens tomorrow.

We are blesssed to finally have this franchise in the hands of these two guys.

Go Bills

Never take these situations for granted, they don't come around all the time no matter how good you might think we will be in the future.

Injuries happen, other teams become better as well and Cincinnati won't likely have another down year, so they will be in the mix again.

You have to take advantage of the opportunities you have in front of you RIGHT NOW.

Dan Marino probably thought he gets plenty more chances at a Super Bowl ring after getting there his rookie year.

Guess what? He never got back there...the rise of Kelly and the Bills kept him out several times. The closest they got was a beat down at the hands of the Bills at home in the AFC Championship game that they lost 29-10, which was a decade after his first Super Bowl appearance as as rookie.

And this was during a time with no free agency when it was much easier to keep teams together.

There are no moral victories when you have arguably the most physically talented player ever at QB, and some difficult questions will need to be answered if the defense that was given top priority by the GM and coach fail said QB again.

The defense was not given top priority this off-season. That was actually a change from previous years

This is all correct and rational and that’s cool. I get it. One trap I’m absolutely not going to fall into and one thing I’m not going to do is take this for granted whatsoever. It’s happened hundreds of times. A team or player gets somewhere and you think, they are young and will be back. You never know. You never know how long and if you’ll ever be back. Get it now. This is the only guarantee. It’s sports. Anything can happen. We might not get back to the playoffs for 20 years. Just go win the whole thing right now because you never know when or if you’ll get another chance. This is a very safe and hedging mindset and it’s the last thing I want right now. I want to drink this all in and I want to finally finish one.

One offseason doesn't wipe away spending every top draft pick during his early years on defensive lineman who vacillate between "serviceable" and "nonexistent"

As was mentioned by Turk, the defense was not the priority last offseason, but it was the previous 2 or 3 years. What's been gnawing at me the last several weeks is; if the Bills don't do it this year, something is wrong with the player personnel, coaching or the process. Maybe all 3. The roster has been built the last few years to fill gaps and get the kind of guys this coach and GM want. And...they're as healthy as they've ever been in the playoffs. If it doesn't happen this year, something isn't working! They've got their guys and they're mostly healthy. This should not be the team sitting in the locker room eating Snickers bars.

I'll say one thing, no way this team, with Josh Allen, should be going three consecutive years without an AFC title game appearance. And when will the Bills finally get the 1 seed? It hasn't been going to the Chiefs every year.

You see the team in front of them that's getting the 1 seed, right? We even beat the Chiefs head to head in the regular season to claim it from them and still didn't get it because they kept winning

He didn't make the Super Bowl as a rookie. It was his second year. No rookie QB has ever made a Super Bowl. Jayden Daniels would be the first ever if he goes

Christ, the biggest game in the last 30 years is tomorrow and you’re thinking about next season?!

I am praying Washington wins today. Daniels had a phenomenal season, but Buffalo’s D is built to play those types of teams. Philly is a much scarier team IMO

Edit: tomorrow not today

Since the 2019 season the Chiefs have only had the one seed half the time. Ravens x2 and Titans x1. Bills have to sneak in their at least once and get the one seed.

I'm excited for it being the priority this offseason. We should be unbeatable from here on out.

If not for the end of game " strategy" ....twice, we absolutely would have had the one seed.

But that’s what happened when you are up against a franchise with a HOF coach, GM, QB, DT, TE and maybe more.

The Bills have one (1) HOF player. The supporting players and admin are excellent but not HOF quality.

A stud DT will do wonders for our D.

I see your point, but the Bills have two HoF players. One is just not playing at a HoF level this late in his career.
