Chiefs fans online are begging McD to guard Kelce the same way he did last time. They think Worthy and Brown will feast all day.

Reception Perception correctly identified that the Chiefs threw in the towel trying to make Worthy a real WR, and instead he has the WanDale Robinson gadget playbook.

He's a killer on 3rd down because he doesn't follow the play call.  He moves from open zone to open zone until Pat can get him the ball.

We should be doing the same with Shakir or Kincaid.

If it comes down to that, then whatever. Guard Kelce with your life

They may be right. With Rapp out, does anybody really think that KC won't be taking at least a few deep shots over the Bills' secondary? The safety position has to be a real concern for the Bills. If the front four can't make Mahomes uncomfortable, it could be a long day.

You can't cover Kelce like you cover everyone else.  The reason for this is because he doesn't run the exact routes called.  He gets a call and then almost freelances in the secondary to find open spots in the zones.  This is why you see him running open so much against teams.  Teams and coaches do their best to study tape and chart the route he is supposed to be running.  But so many times, he doesn't run the route as it is supposed to be run which screws up what guys are doing in the secondary.  Quite honestly, this is why Stevie Johnson was as good as he was.  He was an incredible route runner that improvised a ton.  Kelce does a lot of the same things.

It sounds odd, but you almost have to use a plaster coverage (what is taught for scramble drills).  Not necessarily turn your back completely to the QB, but almost!  You almost just have to faceguard him and hope you can get your head around in time if the ball is coming.  Because if you keep your eyes on the QB, it's over because he is ready to stop and change direction at any point in time in the route regardless of the route he is supposed to be running.  And because him and Mahomes have done it for so long, Mahomes knows what windows he is going to be looking for and where he is adjusting his route to, especially when plays are extended.

Honestly, the best way to stop Kelce is to prevent Mahomes from moving in the pocket.  Don't let him get to his left or right.  Just keep him in there because then Kelce can't stray off script and make himself available as an outlet.  It's easier said than done, though.  Mahomes moves around in the pocket as good as anyone in the league.  And, even though he is not the best athlete, he doesn't need to be.  All he needs to do is create some sort of separation for himself and everything from there turns into backyard football.   Our best bet will be to use spy and mirror concepts and as soon as the spy has an open opportunity to trigger on him, he has to go.  Can't delay because if you hesitate on triggering at all, it's going to be too late.  This is where having your young, athletic and fast LBs are supposed to make a difference.  THey are supposed to be able to contain him and then speed up his process the second he commits to a direction in the pocket.  We'll see if the defense is up for this soon enough.

KC and Kelce were on cruise control all year. Playoff Kelce is a different animal. That said, we might have the best 2 lbs to match up with him. It’s crazy but I’d rather have LBs cover him than our safeties.

Actually said he picked up something from watching Kelce to get to Gronk.

On a side note, people kind of compared Kincaid to Kelce. Kincaid has a long, long, long way to go, and that is if he is on the right path.

The hope was that Kincaid would be the next Kelce.  As a route runner, he might have a chance.  He has all the physical tools and an understanding of finding spots in zone.

The problem is that he’s such a bad blocker they have to split his time with Knox.  It does make you wonder if Sam LaPorta would have been a better fit for the offense.  The selling point of Kincaid was his potential which we hopefully haven’t see yet.

This was as actually my stance at our annual family football debate (hosting the holidays).  I can't put Mahomes at the top of my list.  I can put him among the best, but he is not the best.  Kelce on the other hand is the best.

The chiefs 'dynasty" is a factor of Reid/Kelce more than it is Mahomes.  Kelce is a complete TE, and sees coverage better than pretty much anyone.  As soon as Kelce is gone, the dynasty is over.  The chiefs will still be a very good and very competitive team, but the "unbeatable" factor is more about how clutch Kelce is.

So weird he picked us against Baltimore then the chiefs against us 😂. Love the videos though

I'd pick the Chiefs too, even though I hope the Bills win.

Road game. And Chiefs is the healthier team and probably better rested due to their bye. The style of both Bills and Chiefs Defense is all out, smaller guys playing big. You can see the Bills D at the end of the Ravens' game was gassed. The final Jackson TD play they had 3 backup DL on the field. This is my biggest fear tomorrow that if the offense cannot win up front consistently and make time consuming drives, our D would again be gassed by the 4th quarter.

Well Gruden Picks the Chiefs. He thinks the Chiefs D-Line will get it done.

Good. I can’t stand when people pick the Bills. They always lose. Keep fueling that fire. Based on Allen’s postgame, you KNOW they pay attention to this crap.

Great Tight Ends have the same shelf life as QBs

What lol he's ancient for a tight end .. the average age for an NFL tight end right now is 27

Tony Gonzalez the best ever couldn't even play past 37

He's at the end

Completely different offenses and defenses though KC compared to Baltimore in the bills favor both ways.  Ravens run defense is fantastic, chiefs hasn’t been recently.  KC struggles to defend RBs and TEs in the passing game, ravens don’t.  On the offensive side Baltimore has the best rushing offense in the league, chiefs don’t really run it super well.  I can see picking against us in the Baltimore and KC games but splitting them is strange to me

I hope we turn it around tomorrow. On Nov. 17, the Bills RBs did squat, running or catching football. Maybe that's what Gruden is seeing - Chiefs have money guys on D-Line.

Wish they'd use him as the big slot he was advertised as
