cgang Posted Saturday at 04:55 PM Posted Saturday at 04:55 PM Too much time all week. Was feeling really good about the game until I made the mistake of watching First Things First and then Gruden’s assessment this morning. I really learn a lot from Gruden and respect his opinion so now I'm fighting an internal battle against being pessimistic. F it. I say our D will get 2 turnovers, Bishop sticks on Kelsey, we have a big run game, josh takes control in the 4th,and we win by 10. Quote

I also mentioned how I made my three daughters crazy Bills fans like my wife and I. I knew when we left the game last week I mentioned how it is going to be a long stressful week for me. I wasn't sure how their week would be until I intercepted texts between them. One a doctor, one a lawyer, and one a teacher, all with kids. So where were their minds this week. Teacher..." Do you think Josh Allen has any idea how much I think about him and the Bills in a day this past week. Do they know I wonder if they can actually win and go to the Super Bowl way too many times a day .Do they know how much I care? Do they care as much? He may have sounded a little sick in the press conference soooo is he getting enough vitamin C. What if he gets the flu or strep? Doctor( Connecticut)......Oh my Josh!!!! this sounds exactly like me. Lawyer.( Pittsburgh)..... What if Dion Dawkins gets ill. I just asked Steve(husband) if Sean McDermott is thinking about the game as much as I am? I am worried about the quality of Josh Allens sleep and his hydration. I keep wondering, CAN THEY DO IT? CAN THEY DO IT? Teache ( Warren,Pa)r,,,,,,,, If we got paid to care we'd all be rich. Going back to the 90's Super Bowl run. My wife and I were fortunate enough to win the ticket lotto and attend 3 of the 4. We had family members who took care of the kids while we were gone. I realized we may have been a little overboard with our fandom when after the 4th loss we called home to check on the kids. My mother- in- law told me the girls did not want to go to school as they would get bullied because of the loss again.....I need for them, me and all of you to experience the THRILL OF VICYORY. GO BILLS They're killin me Whitey, they're killin me I guarantee that coach is thinking about the game more but not in a nervous way. and they are all hydrated up and vitamin C ( that comment made me laugh, not in a negative way , but in they definitely are in super mom mode) Edited Saturday at 06:50 PM by Buffalo Barbarian Quote
VW82 Posted Saturday at 06:51 PM Posted Saturday at 06:51 PM Not much, honestly. Like, we can't lose 4x in a row (playoffs) to these guys. Won't happen. We did lose four SBs in a row though...but we also didn't have Josh Allen. Josh > Jimbo at this point..but we did have Josh in the previous three so I guess that nuffilies it...but our Oline is definitely much better than it was the previous three games...We'll be able to run the ball this time around...way more balanced attack...And we don't have AJ Freaking Klein covering middle of the field lol...But we didn't have AJ back there in 2021 either and still lost....But they also no longer have Tyreke and Kelce is getting older...Bernard should be able to do the job....Need our banged up secondary to hold...Milano is a good blitzer so he'll help there...but is his hammy ok?...hope so...Dorian is a good change of pace if he isn't...need to watch for Worthy on those bubble screens...bet Keon outplays Worthy though...we picked the right WR this time...need another good one in the draft...that won't help us this game though...but that's ok because Josh got this and Josh > Mahomes at this point... Anyone have a Xanax? Quote

I was thinking Bills constantly. Good for us. I was “released” for alcohol a few days ago, and I’m enjoying cocktails at a favorite restaurant now. Steaks to follow. So, with hospital and home time, I’ve been thinking about this particular game for weeks. Candidly, this particular matchup. My view was that we had to get past the Ravens in order to meet the Chiefs. I want Kansas City and I want Mahomes. I am now in a restaurant, recovering, and having cocktails, wine and some steak. Life’s funny, again. I’m watching the Bills vs. Chiefs games on the restaurant bar television. I just suffered through 13 seconds. CBS NFL. All of the matches. I have kids. They were raised out of town, but are Bills Mafia forever. I want this for them. I want this for Josh Allen. How much time have I been thinking about this game? Fifty five years. My first game was in 1969. This version of the Buffalo Bills, with once in a lifetime talent Josh Allen, makes me more confident than I’ve ever been. Go Bills. There is no set of fans more passionate, more deserving, than ours. How much time have I spent thinking about this game? You gotta be kidding me. This is my moment. This is my kid’s moment. This is Josh Allen’s moment. Beat the bastards. Just take easy on the cocktails, dont want any complications 1 Quote

Just enjoy the ride, win or lose, very very few people expected them to still be playing football in late January, let alone February. Go Bills i did, i never bought into the diggs and other players leaving being detrimental to the team. As long as we have Josh we have the opportunity. Quote
billsfanmiamioh Posted Saturday at 07:14 PM Posted Saturday at 07:14 PM I’ve been out in Montana skiing for a week. Having an activity that’s keeping my mind off the game is the only thing keeping me (somewhat) sane. Quote
WideNine Posted Saturday at 07:19 PM Posted Saturday at 07:19 PM Trying not to think about it too much. Just feel like we have what it takes, but this contest reminds me a lot of our games with the Patriots where you just could not let off the gas and the Bills had to keep the pedal to the metal the whole 60 minutes. If we let up or gave Brady a window he would find a way to get the score they needed. We have to play them with the same attitude we had earlier this year where they just did not let up and did not give KC a chance to get back into the game. At the end of the day these are the 2 best teams in the AFC and it was no surprise that the AFC comes down to them - again. Quote

I was hopeful the first one, but kinda knew it was a long shot. This one feels like we're due. I'm assuming your 4 year run has you better prepared.... not me. I wouldn't even say I'm overly worried, but this game has been every waking second since baltimore ended. Almost 0 exaggeration. First thought when I wake up. Every conversation with family or friends gets steered towards the game. Trying to get my 9 year old daughter to really soak this in. Telling her I was a few years younger than her last time we were in a SB, but I don't remember any of them. 31 years Yeah, I have a few decades on you. The string of lost Super Bowls were certainly a part of preparing me, but most of my perspective was learned from life events in general. When you face “real” challenges you learn about priorities. I hate to bring this up again, but we had a son battling addiction. You have to live the lesson of the serenity prayer to survive. Don’t make yourself crazy over something you have no control over. If you can’t change it, you just have to accept it. Don’t let it drag you down. I know, easy to say, but hard to do. Practice helps. The Bills are great entertainment and a source of happiness in general, but they have their place in my life. I’m still down after a loss, but I don’t let it eat me up like it used to. Quote

WotAGuy Posted yesterday at 01:01 AM Posted yesterday at 01:01 AM The Ravens game I was very anxious and really thought about waiting until the final score to decide whether to watch it on DVR. The second half was super tense. The Andrews fumble and dropped pass were so surprising and out of character for the Bills to get, I was glad I watched live. This week, I’ve had far more confidence in a win, but as today has worn on I’m getting more anxious. Tomorrow will be a long day. Hope the Commanders get a big upset to keep me occupied. Quote
EasternOHBillsFan Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 What has happened during that time? A whole hell of a lot, to be honest. Been there for every playoff season and in between, and frankly the anxiety is always through the roof when it is win or go home. Memories that will haunt any Bills fan who lived through them... but if the CUBS can win a World Series, then by GUM, why can't the BILLS win a Super Bowl??? I've been hype ALL WEEK 😁 This is me in 1999, Jets vs. Bills. Quote
