Now and then.  Kansas City was loaded as a weather favorite. I've been watching more of Good Morning Football.  I haven't washed the clothes I wore on Sunday. They'll be worn again. I made stew for last Sunday and I'll be eating it again.

I've spent more time thinking about the next game honestly.

This!

I'm so nervous about this game that I simply refuse to watch any NFL media leading up to this Chiefs game. This is my Super Bowl as I dislike the KC Chiefs nearly as much as I cherish the Buffalo Bills. This game will make or break my season.

Hey! A 66 year old guy with a sense of humor can’t be all that distressing …, 🤣😆😂

No more or less than any other game.

Its probably because of all the scar tissue of 40+ years of being a fan, because once upon a time I couldn't get enough. But I just don't get into the tidal wave of playoff game week content anymore. I'll watch Joe Marino's final podcast of the week and that will be all until kickoff.

There’s no way we can stop Henry. All of the podcasts said so. We got lucky against Denver because that was the most talented defense to ever play the game. People were saying.

and the narrative will continue with the Chiefs.. Go Bills !!!

I haven’t stopped. This game/season hasn’t left my head in weeks. Usually I spend a lot of time on here or Twitter talking X’s and O’s. “If this happens then that needs to happen, etc.” That just hasn’t been the case for me over the last  couple of games. There’s an eerie calm that I’m feeling. People talk about “the calm before the storm” and for those of you that have been through a hurricane, you know that feeling. I have that now but without the threat of the storm.

I was just sure that the Bills were going to win last week. There wasn’t a scenario that came into my mind where they lost. That’s how I feel again this week. I don’t mean that in a dismissive or arrogant way. It’s just time. Strategy aside, this is their destiny.

I find it is healthier not to dwell on things I can’t control. I’m concerned, but I’m spending little time thinking about it so far. It’s genetics, I think, like turtles knowing what to do when they are born. Survival. I can’t get worked up. Yet.

From reading your posts around here I know you're significantly older than me at 36.... but this is only the 2nd AFCCG I've been old enough to take in.  I was hopeful the first one, but kinda knew it was a long shot.

This one feels like we're due. I'm assuming your 4 year run has you better prepared.... not me.

I wouldn't even say I'm overly worried, but this game has been every waking second since baltimore ended. Almost 0 exaggeration.

First thought when I wake up. Every conversation with family or friends gets steered towards the game.

Trying to get my 9 year old daughter to really soak this in. Telling her I was a few years younger than her last time we were in a SB, but I don't remember any of them. 31 years

Great stuff.

I travel back for the home opener every year and I recall one year mid drought waiting in an airport restaurant for my connecting flight sitting next to some younger Bills fans...

Most of our conversation steered to the Super Bowl years, when I still lived in Buffalo and had season tickets, and these guys were just eager to hear about what the playoff football atmosphere was like because the drought had left them with zero fan experience in that department.

As we went our separate ways I remember telling them that we will get back someday and it's going to be awesome.

I think about those guys a lot during this new Bills playoff era.

Go Bills!

honest answer to the OP is not as much as many who chat here.

More than the casual NFL fan but unfortunately here in California as you all know it has been  a week of dodging fires or watching it on TV.

it's not for lack of interest. I think it's how much emotional bandwidth a person has to deal with all going on in life.

Today and tomorrow will be nonstop though. and a sleepless night FTW

Go Bills 🙂

A bit here or there. I don’t usually get nervous until right before kick off and learned a long time ago I have zero control over what happens Sunday. Will still be upset Sunday if they lose obviously but no use in giving myself anxiety all week on something that’s out of my hands

Ha yep.  i left my clothes from last sunday night on the floor, I’ll be wearing them again tomorrow.  Will sit in the exact same spot watching as I did for Denver and Baltimore. I was going to get a haircut this week and said nope, I’ll wait till after this game.  We are all doing our parts

not too much.  It will be a great, competitive game.

but hey, you don't want to get that invested in a single elimination tournament game in the NFL,

because you could dominate the game from scrimmage and look great doing it, but the reality is you're a couple of lucky peanut punch turnovers from going home.  Ask the Lions, ask the Ravens.   Dominated from scrimmage and looked great doing it, but a few turnovers sent them home.

I wonder if the scoring should be based on turnovers, not touchdowns and field goals.   Turnovers seem to be all that matters in the NFL playoffs, as offenses are pretty much unstoppable and defenses can't do much without penalizing themselves into their own end zone.   think about it.
