The bottom line is I'm correct to be worried about a starting combo of Hamlin and Bishop. That doesn't mean they'll ultimately be the reason we lose to KC, but losing Rapp is a major blow to our chances of winning. Personally, I'm actually still bullish on the team Sunday. I think our ball control offense will help limit the defense's exposure and expect a game very similar to what we saw against Balt. The key will be finding at least 3 stops of the KC offense through turnovers and or punting. Without Rapp, those stops maybe have to come from turnovers again. If Benford and Rapp are out then it's a major blow. The silver lining with Rapp is they pry knew at the start of the week that Rapp was going to be likely out so they had a full week of game planning/practices with Bishop as the starter. 1 1 Quote

It's tough news on Rapp but it's "next man up" and that's Bishop. We all know that mentoring Bishop is one of Micah's main reasons he is on the team. Having him on the PS instead of a "temp coach" is a good idea to me. This way Hyde is with Bishop (and the other young guys) all the time, in the locker room etc. Everyone throwing stats around, but we all have seen Bishop is improving since earlier in the season. I'm hopeful. 1 2 Quote

Who backs up Mahomes if he reinjures his ankle? This is going to be a great game. We have to slow down Kelce somehow. They have to deal with our 6 man front and running game. And so on. Going to be epic. I agree it will be epic. It just frustrates me a little that Sean was wise enough to call up Hyde in the fall in case of an emergency. And now that we have one, he's reluctant to allow Micah (34) to put on the pads. He knows what to do and God knows he's gotta be fresh? Jackson is damn near 37? This scenario played out perfect except for the part where Sean apparently was never going to allow Micah to play??? 1 1 Quote

From what I’ve been reading Micah has been in Bishop’s back pocket at all the practices. Should count for something. I think we need the athleticism back there; Micah had slowed down last year. 2 Quote

I guess we brought him in as a glorified coach to mentor Bishop. Cole is more of a hybrid "close to the LOS" SS. Pat will attack him downfield. Hope for the best? 1 Quote

I think you’re saying FS might be a hint. Hyde and Poyer were kind of interchangeable, but I think Rapp was more a SS. Bishop probably fits that better. Quote

That's not entirely accurate. Reportedly Jordan Phillips was talking to Hyde and then told Beane and McDermott he'd be interested in coming back and then they called him. For all we know, that discussion could have been Hyde telling Phillips "I don't know that I can play, but I'd definitely be interested in helping out in the Safety room and being in the Locker Room and on the Sidelines" and then Beane and McDermott said "Well, we wouldn't have approached him with something like that and offended him by offering him a spot on the Practice Squad - but if he's open to that, that works for us. Let's give him a call". Not saying that's what it was. But it very well could have been. Either way, your assumption that they called him up to be an "in case of emergency" Safety was just that - an assumption. And their words and actions since him coming here don't line up with that assumption. Edited 8 hours ago by BillsFanForever19 1 Quote

Buffalo716 Posted Friday at 11:44 PM Posted Friday at 11:44 PM Rapp is it good player but with scheming it doesn't move a line one point Like this will not be the reason we lose Quote
seannc Posted yesterday at 12:24 AM Posted yesterday at 12:24 AM On the bright side, with Rapp not playing this week, the Bills' injury list is less likely to expand for the Super Bowl. Quote
