Kelce didnt look slow at all last week vs a very good Houston D that focused on stopping him but couldnt.

He’s a TE so obviously he doesnt play fast, but his breaks are still quick and hard to defend, great knack for catching the bad pass, finding space in the zones.

We arent stopping the guy, he’s gonna get 6-8 grabs, majority on 3rd down, probably a TD or two.   Chiefs are scoring 30 (ish) on us, like any good offense has this year.

All I ask for is that in the last few minutes, Josh has the ball and not Pat.   Just give me that one thing O football gods, let us live or die going down swinging with our franchise qb calling the shots.

Houston looked lacking in defensive experience against the chiefs on those scramble drill type plays.  I wouldn’t expect the same against Buffalo…it’s basically a division game at this point

bills will key on Kelce on those type of plays at the expense of maybe someone else beating them..  I wouldn’t be surprised if Noah gray out-statted Kelce honestly.

I really think this game is going the opposite way and is gonna be more of a defensive struggle than people expect but Ive been wrong before 😂. Both teams were missing some really good defensive players last regular season meeting, chiefs just abused aj klein in the last playoff meeting.  Bills were animals on 3rd and medium-long in the last regular season meeting and couldn’t run effectively but this game I’m expecting those third down numbers to come back down to earth and a better running game

Literally all of the above... we are playing Mahomes... we know what that is like in the playoffs.. this one gonna take a village of defenders to put forth their very best efforts together... Rasul pick, Epi batted passes, Rousseau Von sacks Oliver Jones plugging the middle... Bernard milno being play wreckers... the whole package. We also must remember we will likely need to beat the officiating as well at somepoint.

She’s on D?  😟

We kind of had that opportunity last year- but we couldn’t get in the end zone to give Mahomes the true last opportunity.

Oh I misunderstood the assignment. She was the clear standout for me personally on the D

People keep picking Rousseau or Bernard or (MILLER???) as the impact defense player.  Get a grip. It's MILANO.  I said that before the Ravens game and I believe it now.  Having him back and playing at maybe 90% of his pre-injury level is what's making the difference.  It was Milano who broke up the Ravens first 2 pt try, when the receiver was wide open. It was Milano's spying that limited Jackson's runs.  It's Milano crashing the line or dropping into coverage.  The guy just has an amazing football IQ, and the physical skills to take advantage of what he sees.

Chiefs weak links are LG and RT, so one would think Ed O. and Groot/Von would need to have good days.  A bit worried about our LB's and S's with Kelce & Gray.

I’m actually surprised how well Thuney has played for them at LT. it’s definitely taken a hit to their interior blocking but schematics you can help Caliendo out with Humphrey. Either way the point about Groot/Von/Ed is on the money. That’s how you win the majority of games defensively of course.

Have to make Mahomes unsettled back there and in a position where he feels forced to win the game. Allowing him and that team to dictate what’s happening never bodes well for the opponent they’re facing.

LBs are fine imo. Safety is the bigger question. What do they do with Bishop/Hamlin? Hopefully Damar, even though he’s better around the LOS, should be the MOF. Bishop’s sometimes far too late at diagnosing and seems to be reliant on the athleticism. Think that could fare better in the middle and underneath game in sniffing out some of the stuff they run.

It's the Dline for me.  banged up in secondary, milano might not be 100%.  DL has to do enough to disrupt the run, and MUST impact mahomes.  in our playoff losses to mahomes, he's been sacked like 0 or 1 times, and not turned the ball over once.  75% completions, he's eaten us.  every regular season game we do well, we impact him.  he gets mashed off the edge, oliver comes to life and steals some plays off the snap, and mahomes throws picks.

the one reason to me why this will happen is the DL has been on a heater lately, and the DC and mccoach have left their comfort zone behind them.  they dial up man, have run stunts and put guys in different positions (oliver at end, hamlin on the edge blitzing, milano blitzing, 3 2 6 dime, all of it).

similar to our win over baltimore, the bills need to run the ball, get a lead, put pressure on the chiefs.  the difference is baltimore could run or pass on us at will, kc can't, they are decidedly middle of the pack on O.  our OL is absolutely on tilt, and we will run the ball and keep josh clean snap by snap.  it's gonna be trench warfare, and kc has real problems at OT and have put guards out there to try to protect mahomes.  their dl is nasty at the top, but isn't deep really.  the bills DL is not great but playing on fire lately (for them) and the OL are absolute disgusting yetis.  the same way our small nickel base had a huge disadvantage vs baltimore in the run, the chiefs do as well vs our team.  their run d has fallen off of a cliff, and we have coleman, kinkaid, and brown in this game which we didn't before, when we beat them but didn't run for ish.  coleman blocking on the edge, kinkaid running routes getting fast lbs away from teh ball, and brown just dominating karloftis on power runs will be a welcome and repeated sight as we trample them.

I just hope, after the smart strategy of having Milano shadowing Lamar, they double team Kelce.

The sight of Kelce running open between 2 defenders in the ‘13 seconds’ game will haunt me til my dying day.

I believe McD has learned his lesson when it comes to Kelce, Frazier was way to lenient in the 13 second game and i'm thinking everything Kelce gets he's going to have to earn this go round ...
