chris heff Posted Friday at 08:30 PM Posted Friday at 08:30 PM A guy threatened to knock my teeth out, because I was threatening old people (which I wasn’t), I’m 72. So I’m taking that as a sign, definition of ironic. As it would be to have Bills win with walk off TD. 1 Quote

A play that usually spells doom for the Bills turns our way. On the way home from the game I told my wife I can feel the luck changing. Stopped at the Casino and we both won a few BILL$. Good start to the next game. Monday night bowling hit my first 700 series.  Tuesday I had surgery scheduled for a hand issue n State College, PA.. I was wheeled in the operating room and the nurses were reading me for the surgery, IV, monitors and blood pressure sleeve and the like. As the surgery was about to start the anesthesiologist asked me if I was ready.......Just before I was to go under I stopped him and asked him to wait as I heard" Mr Brightside" playing over the speakers in the OR. He and all the others in the room wanted to know why that was notable to me. Before going under I had to explain to them the significance of that song and that it is Championship Week for the Bills and us fans.  ANOTHER SIGN?  Obviously they are not BILLS FANS.     so how did the surgery go ?   1 Quote

It's not going to change my life in a meaningful way if the Bills win the Super Bowl.  But I really, really want to see the joy it brings to others.  I'd like to share it with my father and my kids together.  (My dad and I have gone to games together as STHs for about 40 years.)  I spent some time in a hospital this summer--no big deal--but I saw those kids rooms that appear in TV commercials and I was so grateful that I would be out of there in a couple of days.  I was so sad for the kids and the families who had to stick around and worry and wait for weeks or months, and struck by how important the solace and the distraction of those rooms (all Bills and Sabres centric) must be for them.  I hope the Bills win for people like that.  I hope they win for the people who are struggling around here right now (by the grace of God, I'm not there, at least at the moment).  I've never felt this way before--I've always thought about how I would feel if they won.  But now I don't care about that, and I want it badly for everyone else.  I almost cried when I read this post 1 Quote

He was a die hard Niners fan, but I am only a Bills fan because Chris Berman picked the Niners and Bills for 20 years straight to make the SB.  And because of that, as a kid I thought they were natural rivals and my dad and I were competitive, so I gravitated to teams that rivaled the Niners.  Then in 1988 my grandfather (his dad) bought a Buffalo for s**ts and giggles at an auction and stuck it in with our cattle on a piece of land where the Mall in Tracy, CA now sits.  And to a young boy it was like seeing a Dinosaur, I didn't even know Buffalo's still existed having never seen one before despite growing up in the country and going to bull fights, cattle auctions, etc as a kid.   So this combination of Chris Berman, my dad being a Niners fan, and my grandfather buying a Buffalo made me a Bills fan right when they got Kelly, Thurman, Smith, etc and right when I was starting to understand football more and I fell in love with the K-Gun offense and never looked back.  I still have the first SB on VHS tape in my garage from when I recorded it.   Also, I now have my own 2 sons and completed my family this year with my 2nd being born in October.  So this is the first post season with having completed our family with our 2 boys, so they are here as my good luck charms.  My first born was already put through a table when he was born in the offseason that year...and now I will be doing the same with my 3 month old son before kick off of the Bills vs Was/Phi SB.   Everything feels different this year...that Ravens game is the kind of game we lose in the past. When we didn't get the TD and only went up 8, my PTSD kicked in and I was like here we go, Lamar is driving for the TD here I know it (and he did). Then when he threw the 2pt conversion, I was like yup, this is how it goes...until suddenly he dropped it.  Then I looked at my wife who was so excited he dropped the pass and said...way too early to celebrate...the most Billsy way to lose would be staring at certain victory and then botch the onside recovery up only 2 and Ravens getting a quick game winning FG instead.   That onside kick was the most nervous I have been all season...I was like this would be the most heartbreaking...aka so Billsy...way to lose this game.  And then I saw the personnel, and I was like WTF is this, Douglas is our hands guy?  Where is Shakir, Cooper, etc...I didn't see any WR's and Rasul was by himself.  I felt doom creeping in before the kick, then it went right to Douglas and I cringed expecting a last second akward bounce and bobble...  ...But...it never happened.  He clean scooped it and the Bills offense put the game away and at it was like the weight of the past 35 years of Bills fan hood felt gone, like a dark cloud just blew away.  I looked at my wife and said this is different...this is like when Bill Murray wakes up that last time in the movie Groundhogs Day and was like somethings different and different is good!   About 20 min after the game I was walking through the house and the most incredibly vivid vision popped in my head that felt ultra realistic and it was the confetti coming down, the Lombardi trophy on the stage being handed McD and Josh in their SB champion hats...and I looked at my wife and said "This is it...we are winning it this year."  LFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gave me the chills man! Awesome stuff. Thanks for sharing!!!!! 1 Quote
DaVinci Posted yesterday at 01:28 AM Posted yesterday at 01:28 AM Tonight was the final game of Jeopardy Wild Card Champion. This was a 2 game final with the player with the most points wining. During the first game Mehal told the story of the birth of his first child in his home town of Buffalo. He said he made a little table with foam and gently crashed the table with his baby girl. Die hard Bills Fan. Well Mehal won the tournament tonight. 2 Quote

Mikie2times Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Took the red eye out of San Diego last night. Sitting at the terminal to fly into Detroit, I see a Bills fan dressed to the nine. Pants, shirt, hat, all of it. I’m like, ok, I have to chat with this dude. We talk for like 30 minutes before we board. Great guy, from Buffalo, on his way to KC to watch the game. This was preceded by about 4 Go Bills being shunned the last week which made me sad, as it’s never happened to me before but I think people are just starting to rock our colors for fashion (weird). Told him about twobillsdrive, if we win it’s because of him! Quote

Bad Things Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago So, I've been living in New Zealand for the last 20 years now. While I don't always wear Bills gear, I do wear a Bills hat from time to time.  In these 20 years, no one has ever made a comment to me until yesterday.  I was walking through town and some guy that I was walking past, looked up and shouted, "Go Bills!" I immediately spun around, extended my hand and asked if he was a Bills fan. He said, "Nah, I just hope you kick the crap our of KC! I can't stand 'em!"  That's close enough to being a "sign" to me!  Let's go Buffalo! colin Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago the bills, since the age of mahomes and allen, have faced KC 9 times. The bills are 4-1 in the regular season, 0-3 in the play offs.  the bills have won 4 consecutively vs kc, one each year, in the regular season. after our second win, we were eliminated by cinci on a day we would have lost to a pop warner team (allen got dumped, the story with the newscaster and such and such), so we didn't face each other that year.  in the 2021/2022 season, we beat them in kc, and lost the 13 seconds game in kc. in 2023/2024 we beat them in kc, lost to them in buffalo (diggs drop, missed FG, forced one punt all day, 7+ per play for them on O). the pattern most repeated is that we win the regs, they win the playoffs.  the correct pattern, which involved home and away and the the afc championship game, is thus: in the 2020/2021 season, we lost in buffalo to kc in the regular season, and then we lost to kc in kc in the afc chip game. this year, we beat kc in buffalo in the regular season, and will beat kc in kc in the afc championship game. it is written, it is known.
