Unless Brady really likes Bourbon street, that would be a terrible move for him and the Saints. If I’m the Saints, I’m weary of the coach who has his first big time success with a superstar qb. 
 

if I’m Brady, that saints situation is one of the worst in the nfl. The qb draft is weak, they have no cap space, and Carr is beyond meh (and he almost killed their best wr).

Jerry and Stephen Jones are going to walk all over him.  I bet jerry has his staff picked out for him.  The staff will report to jerry as always which is always one of the problems there.

 

Jerry is going to be landing his helicopter on the practice field everyday out there.

 

Judging from the reaction here locally, there is going to be no one at training camp for jerry next year.  There was barely anyone there last year.  I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry asks for Hard Knocks again for the attention since apathy has taken over here really deep.

 

It's going to be fun when they sign stephon diggs.   So many loud mouth personalities.  I hope the Giants get their act together this year so the Cowboys are buried in the basement for years.

I was actually thinming about him earlier when discussing west coast guys New England coulda hired as OC and dismissed him because, well, he sucks.....

The problem wasn’t Chan Gailey …it was him $&#@ing up the defense wanting to go from 4-3 to 3-4. If he just focused on the offense and didn’t touch the D the team probably makes the playoffs.

I'm pretty sure that's the first bullet point of the Job Description. Anyone who interviews there knows exactly what they are walking into.

That was fun.  "We don't know how to beat the 34 defense so we may as well play it!".  Then we lost Schobel who immediately retired, we moved Kyle to nose tackle, and Kelsay to EDGE/OLB where they suffered, and wasted the next 3 drafts on 34 personnel just to pivot back to a 4-3 under Pettine and had to get rid of all those guys.  Just brutal.

He is a pretty horrendous offensive coordinator that has been away from pretty much any serious coaching role for awhile and his dad is the infamous case study into ‘when do you fire a great regular season coach that can’t get it done in the playoffs’. So it’s kind of a bundlerooski

 

I don’t think there’s any reason you’d ever let McCarthy go if you’re replacing him with this guy.  Pretty much just a worse Mike McCarthy

Him spending money is still a power position. HE pays the players.

 

He's loyal to coaches... who dont question him.

 

A top coach would want way more control than Jerry is willing to hand over.

Gailey wasn't a horrible hire, he made an offense with a 7th Round QB, 7th Round WR and undrafted RB better than what we saw with some 1st Rounders.

Ego.  He hated playing second fiddle to Jimmy Johnson, and then tried it again with Parcells and hated it.  The Cowboys will always have to be about Jerry as long as he is around.
