C.Biscuit97 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago There has not been one thing he has done to justify him being a head coach besides be the right sperm. Jerry has to be Punking Cowboys fans at this point. McCarthy is a million times between than this dude. 1 1 Quote

Because usually, when one hires a retread, it's a guy with a solid track record. Brian Schottenheimer is the opposite of that. He's been mediocre to terrible everywhere he's been. 4 Quote

DrDawkinstein Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Cowboys nation in full meltdown. Very entertaining. The running thought is that McCarthy surprised Jerry by turning him down. Which would be pretty huge. Edited 3 hours ago by DrDawkinstein 1 Quote

So he isn't exactly a head coach retread, but I can see what you mean. Honestly, most new head coaches fail, even when they were great coordinators. The job is just so different than coordinating. Maybe he is a good leader and motivator and he can hire coordinators who are good play callers. Maybe it will work? I guess we'll see. Quote

You hear all of these hopeful names tossed around but in the end they hire Dick Jauron or Chan Gailey. 1 1 Quote
