There have been folks on this board who have been banned for extensive time for no reason.

 

Long story short, it’s a private message board and the mods can do what they please. End of story.

you weren't online back in the great censorship enactment of about 2018. a new word filter was put in place. i promptly typed every possible curse word and insult in the shoutbox to discover what works and what wasn't.

 

i was banned for 3+ years. pushed the line a little too far

Before this thread gets locked, here is my best advice for OP.

 

This is a fan run website, the Mods are just normal people and the rules/enforcing of the rules can be… wacky. I’ve seen extremely unprofessional and controversial threads left up for dumb reasons.
 

This isn’t the Official Bills MB, and there are other places to talk Bills football. Reddit, IMO, is the best one.

We could use more cancel culture around here. Honestly, I've been trying to cancel my membership here for years. Turns out I don't have a membership and apparently I'm here... voluntarily?

That's all that matters when you are starting threads about board policy and moderation. You need to adapt to the environment. We arent changing almost 30 years of policy for you.

What can we do about it? Just message a moderator.

 

I was new once as well. And I have never had a problem with mods. But one thing I notice is that a lot of new people like to start their own threads about any little thing that pops into their heads. It can be annoying because it clutters up the page and almost always is not compelling, but could simply be a reply to an existing post.

 

I almost never feel the need to start a thread myself. The times I have done so, which are rare, is because I believe it is new and different and not represented on the page already.

I get that, but should it be that way?  Last time i checked this was america, we are allowed to have an open discussion and being banned for anything other than violation community rules sounds very naziesque.  

Sounds like control here is more important than talking to each other.
