This was my thought process as Lamar threw that ball

1) damn, wide open

2) (sees ball going towards Mark Andrews hands) aight Josh got this (turns away to sit down)

3) (hears "drop") WHAT?!

4) Oh my god I feel so bad for him

Yup......Couldn't believe he dropped it.  Was ecstatic for us, obviously, but we have been on the wrong end of those moments so many times I've lost count and you can't help but feel bad for the guy.  Obviously for his sake, I wish we would have just won the game by double digits so it wouldn't have mattered, but as we all know as Bills fans, sports are cruel in so many ways.

It's one of the reasons I am having trouble focusing on the game this week.  While I truly believe we are the better team, I have also thought this the last couple times we have played them in the Playoffs and we all know what happened.  It's almost like no matter how much I try to get amped up for this game, it's like my head is telling me that I have to see it to believe it in terms of beating this team when it truly matters.  Praying that happens Sunday night. GO BILLS!

I'm sure I'll get killed for this, but...

Sometimes I feel like the Bills charity donation act is a bit of a troll job. Sort of a passive aggressive "rubbing it in".

They only ever do it after a win, for instance. I don't remember Bills fans ever donating to another team after losing to them, though perhaps someone can correct me.

ON THE OTHER HAND...no donation to worthy charitable causes are EVER a bad thing. So even IF it's a little bit passive aggressive or troll-y or whatever I or others may think, at the end of the day, those in need are receiving much needed financial contributions, and that's a win no matter how you look at it.

Congrats on a great season, Ravens fan, and I'm sure we'll be meeting you again in the playoffs for many years to come.

This is the most passive aggressive post ever written.

I completely disagree about it being “trolling.” Bills fans know exactly how bad it sucks to lose a tough game and the donations are small gesture of kindness to lift up a player or fan base.    It’s turning a negative station into a positive one. That’s why you do see donation drives after a win.  Things are usually positive.

The Mark Andrews situation is no different from what happened with Tyler Bass.  After a falling short in a crucial moment, social media is full of toxicity and death threats.

Saying that the donations are a passive aggressive way of rubbing it in is far from the truth.

It's not a troll job.   There are all kinds of people in any fan base.   A lot of the people donating to his charity were probably the types who were jumping on their tip-toes with a giddy little clap during the Shout song after Bass kicked that chip-shot field goal to make it an 8 point game.   The majority of us in the stands were like "oh well, hopefully we get it back with enough time to kick a game winner before OT".    The majority of us do not donate to these charities.   Don't over-think it.

After what Lamar said to Josh and after the game, I am a fan now instead of a detractor. It was so genuine and uplifting... so many examples of it may make a difference yet.

I have a lot of respect for the Ravens. Great coach, great players up and down the roster. As much as I don't want to like Lamar, I can't help but to like him. He's a good dude and a great player. I have loved Derrick Henry for years. Props to the Ravens for signing him. I have no idea why RB are so devalued? I hate these diva WR that cost over 30 million a year. I'm hoping the success of Henry and Barkley help the RB get more respect.

I thought the Ravens were the team to beat, whoever won the game will go on to win the super bowl.  Let's hope the bills can bring it home!

yea I know what you mean. IMO The Ravens are the best team in the league and beat the Bills 6 of 10...but all it takes is 1

Well...kind of, yes.

While it's true that Bills fans donated to Dalton's charity after the Bengals won, it's because that Bengals win did something beneficial for the Bills.

The point remains that Bills fans have yet to donate to another team's charity after losing to them. The closest so far was donating to Bass's charity after he missed that kick last year.

Also, it being pointed out to me that Andrews is/was being donated to primarily/only because of Ravens fans sending him threats changes my original comment a little bit.

Andrews donations notwithstanding, I still think the "donate to your charity after we beat you" act can come across as a little condescending/troll-ish at times, and I also reiterate that ANY MONEY DONATED TO ANY CHARITY FOR ANY REASON is always a good thing, no matter what.

Mafia donated to Lamar’s charity after his concussion and loss in playoffs to the Bills a few years ago. Weird hill to die on. These donations usually come up under unique or unusual circumstances that have little to do with the Bills winning or losing; the Bills usually win, so there’s that too.

Bills fans are just like any other population of people; there are bad apples, like the ones that left a message on McKelvin’s lawn after he fumbled against the Pats.

But by and large, the donation thing has just become a “thing we do” whenever needed and carrries on a tradition started after that Cincy win ended the drought.

I have the same internal struggle about this idea's passive-aggressive nature. But in the end, kindness is never a bad thing, and the fact that it is going to a good cause makes me feel better about it. The real benefactors of the entire thing are those with serious diabetes issues—no matter the motive, that is a very good outcome. As Andrews said, this is a moment of light in a world that can be so dark at times.

Giving money to someone I’m trolling or being passive-aggressive against is beyond my budget.

There are bad apples in every bunch. Tyler Bass has some losers harassing him as well. Luckily the majority of fans arent losers and tried to pick him up.

God, I wish the losers whi said this would have to face consequences or Andews in real life. Too many losers are way too comfortable popping off without accountability now.

So one of my best friends, his son n law worked at a private school here in town.

I go in to talk about scuba in the class and show them a video and all the dive gear. 1 student was being a about azz in class saying he is going to steal my stuff.  Teacher told him to go to the principals office.  So class is better know.

Got a call 2 days ago saying parents called the school and the teacher got fried for disciplining there son.
