It's very nice that members of your fandom organized/are donating to Mark Andrews' Diabetes charity in support of him after his... mistakes that cost the game. He's gotta truly be feeling awful. As indicated by him skipping the post game presser and taking the fine.

That kind of drop can crush a soul. You guys rock. Very few fandoms with that kind of empathy and willingness to reach across the isle.

So it mite be unpopular with some other teams but the bills players and family show a great deal of heart.  It also shows though out the organization fans.   Buffalo is an all American type of town.  Unless you have lived it it is very hard to grasp the concept.

Trust me when I say, us bills fans have been through countless heartbreaking losses. We completely understand, and I think that's part of why we donate so much to these charitys

You guys have a great team and my respect.  You have one of the NFL's top coaches and QB, with talent up and down the roster.  Getting King Henry was a blockbuster move.

 

Andrews is money and we know it.  He just had a couple of bad luck moments with a cold, wet football.  Nothing to be ashamed of but he doesn't get to go out there next week and show out, I'm sure that's eating him up.  He's another Raven that is one of the best at his position.

 

Lamar is maybe the classiest QB in the league, to go along with all his talent.  Find me another instance of an after-playoff-loss congrats like the one he gave Allen.

Sometimes I feel like the Bills charity donation act is a bit of a troll job. Sort of a passive aggressive "rubbing it in".

They only ever do it after a win, for instance. I don't remember Bills fans ever donating to another team after losing to them, though perhaps someone can correct me.

ON THE OTHER HAND...no donation to worthy charitable causes are EVER a bad thing. So even IF it's a little bit passive aggressive or troll-y or whatever I or others may think, at the end of the day, those in need are receiving much needed financial contributions, and that's a win no matter how you look at it.

Congrats on a great season, Ravens fan, and I'm sure we'll be meeting you again in the playoffs for many years to come.

You're welcome.  Andrews is a great player.  It's crap that he was receiving death threats.

 

When the Bills lost to Houston, our rookie OLman Cody Ford was flagged in OT for an illegal "blindside block" that the NFL later used as an example in a training film of the kind of blocking that was allowed!  It turned 4th and 5 and a long FG into 3rd and 24 outside FG range. 

Now, Ford did not turn out to be nearly the outstanding player Mark Andrews is, but he still didn't deserve the death threats he got.  So we feel him.

They donated to Tyler Bass's charity after the Bills lost when he missed the kick last year in the playoffs.

 

And I heard they started this one after it was reported that Andrews was getting death threats for that drop.

It would have totally been rubbing it in, but for the fact that the donations started following Andrews receiving death threats. 

 

This particular donation drive is a way of saying some things are more important than football.

This may sound silly to some but when I watched and rewatched Lamar approach Josh with a bright smile. It almost gets me emotional because THAT is how we should treat people. That was such a display of a truly humble man. Unless Lamar is playing the Bills I can easily cheer for the guy.

I lived in Baltimore working for the Orioles at Camden for several months. Buffalo and Baltimore are similar in many ways. Both cities have had our fair share of losing industries, crime and drugs ravaging our once beautiful cities, as well as being looked at as a Third tier city and treated ignored by our government because we arent DC, or NYC.

 

You all have had more success than we have over the past 20 years or so, with at least 2-SB wins. Imagine being us, always on the cusp, but never quite good enough (or lucky enough) to actually win it all.

Awfully presumptive to think that him dropping a TYING the game 2-pt conversion with about 1:30 left cost them the game.  Mr. Allen has drove the field and got points over and over and over and over in these situations.

well said. it really disgusted me when I read he received death threats. cowards, the whole lot of them.

You know what I mean. No need to be pedantic. The cumulative failures of the Ravens cost them the game, but the easy dropped catch to tie at the end is naturally going to be called the "play that cost us the game". Doesn't need to be taken too literally.

Just wanna reiterate some of the comments above for why i donated.  Andrews is a great player/person that I always like and its absolute sucks that hes getting this treatment.  This is a way to make a crappy situation have some upside.  Then there is stuff bigger than football.  Hoping we can play each other in the AFCCG next year after one of us (or another team in the WC) takes out KC.
