Play smart, win the turnover battle and we can and should win. Hopefully the coaches don’t over think it and try and be cute. Play our game. Also need to be a little more aggressive on offense this week.

I think we’re a better overall team and I think Josh Allen is now the better QB.

 

My worry comes down to overcoming the Chiefs playoff mysticism, our DL coming up small in a big game and our coaches vs their coaches.

 

Not so concerned about Arrowhead, as we perform well there. 
 

But if our DL gives up easy rush yards to Pacheco & Hunt, and then doesn’t come close to pressuring Mahomes, it doesn’t really matter where else we’re slightly better than them on the player personnel side.  It will, once again, be all on Josh Allen to be Superman.. and even then, our coaches have shown that may not be enough in these moments. 
 

McDermott does seem different this go around, but if we lost that Ravens game, the turtle up/conservative second half would have been litigated to death this off-season. 
 

But, we won.. and hopefully McDermott realizes you have to kill the Chiefs.  They aren’t the Ravens and postseason Mahomes isn’t playoff Lamar.   He won’t give us the game.  We have to go take it.

I just don’t know how they’re gonna run the football…Pacheco don’t look right since returning from injury and kicking thuney out to LT seemed to really hurt their running game.  Seems to help mahomes only get crazy pressured from one side of the field rather than the whole pocket collapsing on him though so still worth it overall for them

 

I do expect one of those games where our opponent emphasizes a ton of underneath stuff to neutralize the pass rush and hopefully we can disrupt that and bat some balls

Only thing making me nervous is the thought of illness spreading though the locker room.

 

Dawkins being sick and Allen sounding sick scares me.

My confidence level is high, just because I don't think KC is that good. They have been extraordinarily lucky this year so that has to run out, and the Bills were the only team to beat them already this year. Bills defence, McDermott, and the refs scare me though.

Their play thus far against the Broncos and Ravens certainly lends to some confidence heading into this game.

 

Our OL is probably one of the top units in the league, but we know Jones and co., will bring it, along with pressure packages from Spags. 
 

Chiefs OL has a few really good players but also some major weaknesses, as you point out.  Can Ed, Von, Rousseau and co., take advantage?  If they can, we likely run away with this game.  If not, it’s a toss up.

I think KC has the home crowd advantage.  In game of a few plays, that is a big hurdle to overcome.  Gonna take everyone playing 1-penalty flawless.  No holding calls, no false starts, no illegal man down field, and especially no PIs called on Buffalo. Can they do it?  To parapharse McDermott..  We shall see.

The Chiefs can play that death by 1,000 papercuts style of passing game.

 

I think every time they choose Kareem Hunt and Isaiah Pacheco it is a win for the Bills defense.

Well, it’s more of a “we shall see” on the refs. 
 

Not to be that guy, but when it comes to KC, it’s a thing. 
 

Their mediocre OL’s never get beat, never hold, never false start in the playoffs.  It’s amazing. They just lock in and play perfect football in the big moments.  The corners never hold.  Other teams are the only ones who late hit and play undisciplined football. 
 

Amazing. 
 

My hope for this game is that it was so blatant last week, that the spotlight will be on them the first time Taylor chokeholds someone to no flag or Dion gets called for a phantom hold.

Difference is Lamar and Henry in that game. You still have to respect the potential run even if they’re in a position where forced to pass. 
 

Mahomes, whilst he has the wheels just isn’t even the same ballpark of a threat as Lamar. Mahomes will make better throws Lamar could have but I just don’t see the secondary having all eyes on the backfield in the event of a scramble. If they can stop the run in the manner they did last he first half of Baltimore, get a lead then actually capitalize on it? I don’t see how KC can win 

 

 

I’d go 60% sure the Bills will win. The Chiefs are extremely talented not to be higher. 

Need them to expose the OT’s for that team.

Yea that’s fair, I do think SOME of it is how playoff games are usually officiated too.  Last year seemed like an offensive line hold fest both ways and they weren’t calling nothing haha that was a pretty tough game to be a dlineman 

a flagless game probably benefits the chiefs a bit cuz they’ve got the only guy that’s gonna bust through 1-2 obvious holds and make a play still

I've seen Andy Reid pull out so many offensive game plans out of his arse to beat other teams that were supposedly better...especially in the playoffs. It's like a tiger that just does enough each hunt to get the kill; when it's tough prey, he just destroys it. Plus, Patrick Mahomes sometimes seems to pull some magic tricks to get it done. And if all that isn't enough they have that defense with "Spags" calling the plays. They are playing at Arrowhead in a playoff game too! 

 

So many Bills fans appear to be so confident in a win. I wish I could be one of them.😰

i have never fully understood this ‘they have a whole other way better gear in the playoffs’ argument honestly.  Yes they are very hard to beat because they make the clutch plays but they do that regular season also.

 

last year the vibe seemed to be their offense was terrible and lit it up in the playoffs but they really were only just over a point above their season average.  The year before they were virtually right on their season averages. 
 

I think people are searching for meaning of why 2 super close playoff games both fell their way that isn’t there tbh.  The regular season pretty much follows the same game script of super close game that could easily tip either way.  
 

This year I just think the matchups are not there for them on either side and they’ve kind of fallen into 60/40 underdog type territory. They are amazingly well suited on defense to stop that diggs,Beasley,brown throw the ball all over the place bills offense of years past but this year where they’re struggling is passing plays to TEs and RBs pretty consistently and run defense fairly recently. they absolutely without a doubt can win but it’s a bit more of an uphill battle than those other  playoff games.  And this is coming from someone that new last years chiefs game was over at halftime of the pit game 😂

I have literally never felt good about one of these before now lol

I’m insanely confident and it terrifies me. I haven’t been nervous once this entire year. I just don’t want this ride to end because it will be so sudden. 
 

im also deciding how much I’m reasonably willing to spend on SB tickets.

Im skipping this AFCC in the hopes the SB tickets are reasonable. NOLA is a vibe and an absolute awesome place to visit. The SB atmosphere there will be insane. 
 

Let’s hope they remain under 10k for a pair.

It is a once in a lifetime experience. I’ve never been to a SB much less one the Bills have played in. However, I have done the SB weekend festivities. 
 

Skme of my friends talked about going to NO and going to Buffalo for the game. There would be something amazing about watching the game in Buffalo.

Wow 5k each sounds real good actually as long as you’re careful about the huge amount of fees they add that you don’t get back when reselling should the bills not make it.  Might end up losing a couple thousand..  the ticket price jumping up might offset that though 

 

I’ve actually never seen what the fees look like for a ticket that expensive haha I might accidentally buy Super Bowl tickets right now 

 

the flights are probably gonna be crazy expensive too I wonder how long of a drive that is 😂

It didn’t even click for me that we were a game away from the superbowl until midway through the game last time even though I spent like two days driving there 😂
