There's no reason for Putin to come around if he's winning. He's currently winning in the least efficient way possible, but nonetheless. Tarrifs and Sanctions aren't going to stop Putin. There's enough demand for Russian goods and big enough markets for them in the world to keep Russia afloat for now. This has been proven over the course of the war. So far, all this peace talk is just a continuation of Biden's policies with MAGA window dressing.

He's got a good relationship with Putin, yet little rocket man(who's about to test an ICBM that can reach USA) is about to send more RNK troops to Ukraine. We discussed a variety of topics having to do with the War, but mostly, the meeting that is being set up on Friday in Munich, where Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio will lead the Delegation. I am hopeful that the results of that meeting will be positive. It is time to stop this ridiculous War, where there has been massive, and totally unnecessary, DEATH and DESTRUCTION. Would guess that it'll be more than it would've ceded had it accepted the ceasefire proposed in the first months of the conflict that Boris Johnson (in one of his last acts as PM and acting on the behalf of both the UK and the US) talked Zelensky out of accepting. But we shall see.

Putin might be trump's buddy, but I'd NEVER show weakness to him and ceding territory is doing just that. A reward for naked aggression. If the government of Ukraine agree to give up some territory in order to stop the destruction of their country and the deaths of thousands who are you to criticize?
