If you're within three or four hours you'll be able to wake up that morning and say screw it I can spend $200 on a good ticket. The cost of these tickets is going to drop dramatically. They're over 2500 resale tickets still available right now, and I estimate 1500 face value tickets. When resale value tickets are less than the face value tickets there's going to be a major falling off. You will be able to get into this game for less than $150, you'll be able to move up lower bowl for less than $150. What I'm saying is if you want to go: Buy tickets as cheap as possible Wait until the first quarter and buy an upgraded ticket I'd be very surprised if there's many (if any) seats that fall to $150 after fees. I checked all the stadiums for last week's game, KC was the cheapest of the four but also had the least desirable matchup. even the the worst nosebleeds were still above $125 near kickoff. Many re-sale seats you see are pipedream listings from sellers who intend to go but can be bought out for the right price. For example, the lower level section behind the Chiefs, between the 40s, here's the prices currently listed: Box office prices $1196/each (4 total) Re-sell prices $3641, $4758, $2259, $2975, $2351, $3001, $2971, $2015, $1785, $2975, $2380, $1428, $2021, $1249, $1545, $2588, $1779, $2882, $2618, $2540, $2570, $2328, $2328 etc. Maybe a handful of these seats (priced in low 1000s) will sell on re-sale market at current prices. The rest will either be taken down or substantially reduced, likely to the $750-1k range. Quote

The Bills/Broncos game had tickets for $15 between the 40's. The Ravens had them $70 between the 40's. Buffalo metro combine with the market it serves for the Bills is equal to KC. It is also a lot closer of a commute for most of the East Coast. KC is not accessible. Quote

In the 2022 KC playoff game we waited until the last minute at the tailgate and got incredible seats at a great price....unfortunately we know how that game ended up but the price was unreal. But it can also backfire. A friend I know tried doing that for this past weekends game vs the Ravens thinking because of the weather prices would drop at the last minute but they didn't, at least until like 15-20 minutes before gametime because he paid quite a bit more than he was expecting and they did start going up higher. 23 minutes ago, thronethinker said: Saving all my money for New Orleans. After 7 straight AFC Championship Games, it loses its luster. I remember thinking 10 years ago that wild horses would have to keep me away from a Bills home playoff game. This year, I was looking for excuses to get out of the Broncos game (I ended up going). A home AFC Championship would be insane... but if the Bills appeared in the next 6.... Im not sure I would be in such a hurry to spend hundreds of dollars on a ticket (honestly probably still would). I remember the Atlanta Braves' fans were on like gangbusters when the franchise pulled out of their funk around 1990. Later, they werent selling out playoff games. The Detroit Red Wings were mocked too as "hockeytown", but had trouble selling out the longer their dynasty rolled on. Sports are always better when you have legitimate competition and intense rivalries to keep fans interested. Watching the same teams/players dominate year after year just gets boring. That's why 99% of the country is rooting against the Chiefs. And I suspect many of their own fans are getting a little bit fatigued too. Even back during the Patriots run, there were gaps between their wins that helped keep NFL viewers tuning in. Fans finally starting getting tired of the Patriots after their third Super Bowl win (2004 season vs. Eagles). And thankfully after that victory, it took nearly a decade for the Patriots to win another championship. Over the next several years, we saw the Steelers, Colts, Giants, Saints, Packers, Ravens and Seahawks win championships. That really helped establish rivalries with the Manning brothers, Big Ben, gave defining moments to future HOF quarterbacks Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers, and helped establish a young Russell Wilson. The NFL wasn't just about Tom Brady. And it gave fans hope that the evil empire could at least could be conquered sometimes. The NFL is at risk of becoming the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes show. And that simply isn't good for the league. Especially when you have all these other QBs in their primes (Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, etc.) that need a ring to create their legacy. 2 Quote
extrahammer Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago So I found a deal already that totals $500 RT for me to get a ticket plus travel to KC for the game. I'm thinking about it honestly now bc this is cheap. And Josh is great. Quote

ChasBB Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago As I recall, Buffalo didn't sell out vs. Houston (The Comeback game). I think fans became a bit spoiled with the routine playoff appearances. Maybe that's what is happening with Chiefs fans? IDK. Quote
