The conservative offence worries me a bit. It kind of reminds me of the first 6 or so games of the season.

Against KC, going to have to open it up more and put the game in your superstar QBs hands

Exactly.  It worked against Baltimore but they'll have to be more aggressive against KC because KC is KC.

I don't believe this for a second. Allen and the Bills need to be smart, take what the defense gives them, and not turn over the football. They've been doing exactly what they need to, and they should continue that.

I am sure the Bills coaching staff understand this and will game plan accordingly.

The Bills had a 2-headed monster to stop against the Ravens (in Lamar and Henry)....Against the Chiefs, they have to stop Mahomes...I think Offense will be a lot more loose in the Championship game

Bills actually need to lengthen, not shorten the game against the chiefs. A shootout allows the Bills to exploit their advantage in pass protection. With a ball control dunk and dunk fest, that advantage is wasted.

Feels like yeah, for sure, but also: is keeping Mahomes OFF the field with time of possession ever a BAD idea?

The Bills can and maybe should open it up a little more. But when you’ve got a great running and short passing game, keeping the ball and trying to control the game with your offense is a good game plan; especially when your defense is mediocre.

This feels right to me.

It’s not a conservative offense.  It’s a power ball control offense with quick strike ability and it should scare the crap out of anyone we play.  We can beat you by driving the running game down a team’s throat, but if they load the box we can throw it down the field.  The hard part for opponents is that they know the Bills will score 28-30 points regardless of the quality of the defense.  Therefore the question is can the opponent’s offense keep up.

100% hit the nail on the head.  The Bills are in full control of their offense and the only thing they care is a win.  Its a team that had one 2nd team all-pro and 2 starting pro-bowlers....They prefer it that way

The best thing about the Bills’ style they’ve developed this and last season is that it’s much easier and more straightforward to execute. We aren’t trying to doing super difficult things like complete six downfield passes per drive. Even if Josh is incredible at that, it’s fool’s gold in that you can be beaten by a time who plays an easier and therefore more consistent scoring strategy.

In this style there is also the benefit that the O line are the aggressors. I would bet a lot of money they much prefer playing under Brady than Daboll or Dorsey. Dawkins and Brown are showing what they can do in the run game and it is frankly scary. Coaches as experienced as Sean Payton and John Harbaugh were surprised by how powerful our run game has become.

I believe we have our best chance to finally upend the Chiefs, with this strategy. Pound and grind them down in the mortar and pestle of our running game. Hit some shallow passes to Shakir and some seam balls, and a few play action daggers. If our defense, much healthier than last year, can stop two drives per half, we should win by two scores or more.
