I'm just now getting up to speed on the problems at DOC in the District.

This is UNBELIEVABLE.

These defendants now have a civil rights suit against DC.

The pardon's were dated yesterday - 1/20. Any lawful authority to keep a defendant in custody ended at 11:59 pm.

Beyond that it was an "unlawful seizure" in violation of the 4th Amendment.

Defendants are housed at DOC under a contract with the U.S. Marshal's Service because there is not U.S. Govt holding facility in DC.

The U.S. Marshal for the District of Columbia is a Presidential Appointee, and the USMS is part of the Justice Department.

So, what is apparently happening now is the Trump DOJ has directed the USMS to go into the DOC and physically remove those J6 defendants still being held.

If I was giving the instructions, I would have DOC officials removed in handcuffs and taken across the river to EDVA to be held pending a investigation into Sec. 242 violations.

As Sen. Lee posted yesterday -- maybe it is time for Congress to revisit "Home Rule" in DC.

Christopher Stanton Georgia, of Fulton County, Ga., was charged for violating a curfew on Jan. 6 by standing outside the Capitol and not dispersing.

Days after being arrested in January 2021, the father committed s—icide by shooting himself.

He was the first of five Jan. 6 defendants to k—ll themselves during the prosecution and media pile-on. Leftists online encouraged Jan. 6 attendees identified online to k—ll themselves.

Mr Georgia was posthumously pardoned by President Trump on Jan. 20, 2025.

Typical response. Very lazy and so easy to prove wrong that it's not eccentric worth my time.

The issue is way more nuanced than that.   Not every January 6th hostage the Government took assaulted a police officer.   Many of them had every right to protest the election results.   To make a blanket statement like this is hyperbolic and only used to try and gain emotional response from people, which is the tactic of someone who has no real intelligent argument.

The US Capitol building is a taxpayer funded building.  Those people had every right to be there.  They also had every right to protest.   The police take an oath to protect the constitution.   Aside from those people who were arrested for actual violent crimes, you would need to go on a case-by-case basis, many of the J6 hostages had both their 1st and 8th Amendment impeded on by both the Capitol Police and US Government.

Two things can be true.    You can support the everyday work of the police while disagreeing with or reacting to them when you feel your rights are being infringed upon.

This narrative as a whole is a very convenient way for the news to direct focus away from the fact that the Biden administration thought it pertinent enough to give Dr. Fauci a pardon.   Why did he need a pardon?   1 police officer died as a direct result of the January 6th.  How many active and retired police officers died from COVID?

I don't get involved in protest but I am not against a peacefull protest. That protest was not peaceful. The people there who were peaceful, if they got locked up, they should get out. They obviously did not hunt down and go after everyone their that day.

Do me a favor, go to the Capitol, smash some windows, spray some cops with bear mace on your way in and Chase some congressmen around while threatening them while carrying zip ties. Report back to me on how that works out for you.

Lol

Over 30% of officers killed on duty are killed by a black.

Every “criminal justice reform” supporter can say nothing about this topic.

Your local town hall is taxpayer funded. Your court house is taxpayer funded. The Whitehouse is taxpayer funded, go try to get pay the gate. Area 51 is taxpayer funded, you will be shot on site just for stepping foot on the property and they don't have a fence. Should I go on? Your argument is lame.

Area 15?

By the way, if you happen to set foot on Area 51, you won't be "shot on site."

So I guess the documentary I watched on it lied then? I guess you know more than the former employee who worked their who was interviewed. He said he had the green light to do it, that's what the instructions were, he didn't say they would automatically do it. But as always Maga idiots know everything.

Agree with the main focus of your post. However zero police officers died on J6 or as a direct result from the events of J6.

Brian Sicnick died on J7 from a stroke. The autopsy concluded that he died of natural causes.

The reliable media lied and continues to do so.
