davefan66 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Just tired of watching these games and bogus penalties. Regardless of who is penalized. Need a system where penalties are reviewed on the fly and ones that are egregiously wrong need to be reversed. Tough to figure out which are looked at, and how to manage the review in live games, but something has to change. I am especially sick of penalties that are called well AFTER the play ends. Tired of being excited about a play, then suddenly BOOM a flag. Quote
HOUSE Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Well, it's pretty obvious NOBODY IS CONCERNED... This is good 👍 Quote

In those 11 games, how many times have the Chiefs had more penalties than their opponents? Zero. In those 11 games, how many times have the Chiefs opponents had more penalties than the Chiefs? Ten. That’s correct, and I triple-checked because it was initially tough to believe when I first heard this stat. 10 games in which opponents had more penalties. 0 games in which the Chiefs had more penalties. I was curious how the Chiefs fared in these metrics in the regular season. If they are avoiding penalties and also drawing them on opponents because they are simply a sound, well coached team, we should see evidence of this in the regular season. Out of 68 regular season games during this sample (since 2021): 27 games the Chiefs had less penalty yardage (39.7%) 38 games the Chiefs had more penalty yardage (55.9%) And then in the playoffs (out of 11 games): 10 games the Chiefs had less penalty yardage (90.9%) 1 game the Chiefs had more penalty yardage (9.1%) In the regular season: 36 games the Chiefs had fewer penalties (52.9%) 25 games the Chiefs had more penalties (36.8%( And then in the playoffs: 10 games the Chiefs had fewer penalties (90.9%) 0 games the Chiefs had more penalties (0.0%) I'll take this a step further. I have no data to back this up and it could be due to memory bias, but when the Chiefs opponents get called it seems it has a bigger impact. Such as a stop on 3rd down but a penalty gives the Chiefs the first. And when the Chiefs get called, it seems it's more inconsequential. A penalty on 1st or 2nd down or a defensive penalty after their opponent has already gotten the first down. I pay attention to this closely because what's been bothering me the most. Quote
Negan Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago TBH the Bills Chiefs games have been officiated properly for the most part. Chiefs vs Other teams not so much. Quote

T master Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I couldn't place my vote because of the yes or no in the second vote, because to the question will officiating play a part in the out come of the game my answer is I sure hope not ! As we saw in the Chiefs last game & in more than a few games that Brady played in during his career the Refs will call a penalty that really wasn't a penalty to protect the golden goose because with out them the bottom line is just that and making the kind of money all the owners & Roger make they need that Golden Goose !! But with that Josh is our Golden Boy so just maybe it's time for the Bills to get a couple of those calls but even with that i would hope that those calls don't happen because i want there to be NO excuses what so ever when the Bills beat the Chiefs !! GO BILLS !!!! Quote
zow2 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago There is such an outcry nationally there will be some kind of over-correction in this game. There prob will be some judgement stuff not called on both teams. Quote

I'd bet the Chiefs lead the league in that category over the last 2 years. Also include interceptions that get wiped out by penalty Quote
NORWOODS FOOT Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/chiefs-referee-playoffs-penalties-2024-divisional-round/ Worth the read. Long story short: in the playoffs the Chiefs have a HUGE advantage over their opponents regarding penalties and yardage. Maybe it’s just a small sample size. Maybe the NFL is the WWE (motivated by betting). Either way, this is a huge storyline and something the Bills are going to have to overcome to become champions. GO BILLS! paulmm3 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The NFL is a "sports entertainment league" and Taylor Swift is pretty entertaining for a lot of people. Chiefs Texans set a ratings record on Saturday and it sure as heck wasn't because of the Texans. 1 Quote
frostbitmic Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago It's amazing how perfectly the Chiefs play in the playoffs, it's very brady/patriot of them. 1 Quote
LabattBlue Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Was just in Wegmans. Huge run on tinfoil this week. Not a single roll to be found. Even tinfoil trays have been a hot commodity. Quote
GoBills808 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago complaining about the refs before the game even starts lol Quote

You would need all 32 teams in on the conspiracy. So 31 out of 32 teams would have to sign off on not winning the Super Bowl. 15 AFC teams would have to be fine with never even going to the Super Bowl. The amount of people who would know and never go public with the information would be huge. But sure, there’s a huge conspiracy just to get the Chiefs there Quote
Jeffbigalls Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago They where posting articles like this back when the Patriots where stop the AFC Quote

The announcers last weekend were mentioning it during the KC/Texans game that it was a "for sure" penalty and the guy never got called out on it.........and then i couldn't "unsee" it all game long. You are stating a fact. I believe that it was Taylor Quote

But sure, there’s a huge conspiracy just to get the Chiefs there I’m NOT arguing that there is a “huge conspiracy” for the Chiefs to win. Here is what I am arguing: to help raise the Chiefs probability of winning it would take ONE person. This isn’t hard to understand nor is it unreasonable when human greed is factored into the equation. But no, the land of pro sports and sports betting is the one place in human society where human greed plays no role. Aren’t we lucky. Quote
