From Warren Sharp football analysis:

In their pursuit of being the first team ever to win three straight NFL Championships, the Kansas City Chiefs have played 11 playoff games since 2021.

In those 11 games, how many times have the Chiefs had more penalties than their opponents?

Zero.

In those 11 games, how many times have the Chiefs opponents had more penalties than the Chiefs?

Ten.

That’s correct, and I triple-checked because it was initially tough to believe when I first heard this stat.

10 games in which opponents had more penalties.

0 games in which the Chiefs had more penalties.

I was curious how the Chiefs fared in these metrics in the regular season.

If they are avoiding penalties and also drawing them on opponents because they are simply a sound, well coached team, we should see evidence of this in the regular season.

Out of 68 regular season games during this sample (since 2021):

27 games the Chiefs had less penalty yardage (39.7%)

38 games the Chiefs had more penalty yardage (55.9%)

And then in the playoffs (out of 11 games):

10 games the Chiefs had less penalty yardage (90.9%)

1 game the Chiefs had more penalty yardage (9.1%)

In the regular season:

36 games the Chiefs had fewer penalties (52.9%)

25 games the Chiefs had more penalties (36.8%(

And then in the playoffs:

10 games the Chiefs had fewer penalties (90.9%)

0 games the Chiefs had more penalties (0.0%)

Most fans want the Bills to win. Not sure why he NfL can’t let go of these guys.

Control what we can control. Play a great game & don't leave it in the hands of the refs.

there is an art to manipulating games.

This might have more to do with them always playing at home (except the two games last year) with visiting teams having more pre snap penalties because of the crowd noise.  I've also seen teams press against the Chiefs in high pressure situations like playoff games which can lead to more penalties.  Or, the NFL is rigged.  Could be all three.

And the reason have to play as if they are not going to get any calls. And once they hit their own 45 and it’s 4 and 5 or less don’t punt. They have to score 30 points and win by more than one possession.

Gotta get the papers, get the papers…

The most glaring offense was against the 9ers in last year’s Super Bowl. Watching their OL play after play literally wrap their arms around Bosa in front of the refs was appalling. That’s when you known something is rotten.

Just go out and f***ing play sound, mistake free football like they have and physically dominate this team. Don’t put it in the refs’ hands.

I'm hoping with the attention they got on the BS calls from the divisional game, they will over-correct to avoid the backlash.

Trust me, the league/ Goodell has probably told the crew to put their flags away this weekend . Expect no calls either way

At first I was worried that the refs would screw us because the NFL wants Taylor at the Super Bowl. If it's the Chiefs, sure they'll get the Swifties, but a lot of other fans who are sick of KC/Mahomes/Mrs. and Mrs. Swift won't watch, especially if it's the Eagles again.

If the Bills make it, the Swifties are out, but the ones who are sick and tired of the Chiefs are back in, so the ratings might not change much. So maybe Rog will stay out of this one. Maybe.

I said in the other thread, the Chiefs almost always win the penalty battle in their playoff games.  If the Bills go from 1 penalty this past Sunday to 8 or 9 at Arrowhead I'm gonna have a meltdown.  That would not make sense unless it's all obvious procedural stuff.

If they are calling obvious procedural stuff that closely than Juwann Taylor will be flagged 30 times on Sunday.

Are concerns legit? Yes. Is the game likely to be determined by blown calls? No but it is possible. In games where margins are likely to be tight a couple of drives extended by a bogus call could be the difference. But as a fan while I am concerned I just don't think it is worth worrying about too much. The Bills have Josh Allen that's a pretty good place to start.

That alone I think has the nation wondering how the Chiefs get away with the favoritism. It’s unconscionable!! The first game of the year last year they were flagged multiple times. AR went crazy after the game and the nfl backed down. It’s an embarrassment!!!
