We can't get flagged for roughing the passer if PM is on the sidelines.  Run 6 O-linemen for the whole game and sustain 13 minute drives, culminating in TDs.

Pretty cool that the NFL has chosen the one referee (Clete Blakeman) who KC has a below .500 record against (5-6) and also one of the only referee who does not favor the home team.   54% of his penalties have gone against the home team.   Home teams this season have gone an NFL worst 5-11 straight up with this guy as ref.

I think the NFL threw the Bills a bone here and took away the narrative that the Ref has any pre-game bias for the home club or KC.

My goal is to make this into a gigantic deal over these next 48 hours. To the point where we're forced to get favorable officiating because of it and/or it becomes a distraction to the Chiefs. Like Mahomes feels like he has to take big hits and/or not flop because this whole thing has been blown into a huge deal.

Taylor Swift just made over a BILLION dollars on her tour. If you think the NFL doesn't want her and her fans tuning in to the super bowl then you are very naive.

The NFL is doing whatever they can to grow the sport. They are playing games in cities that don't even have adequate fields just to gain viewership. You don't think they would change a couple of close calls to help a team win? A couple of key penalties in a close game completely sways it to one side or the other.

The Bills need to BLOW THEM OUT so it's not close and the calls don't matter as much. Unleash the offense. Enough with this play it safe crap. I want Josh to have 400 yards and 4 TD's and this game to be over by halftime!

I saw a video that was posted with the splits. It goes into more detail, but in KC’s 11 playoff games, their opponents have been called for 30 more penalties.

PI/Holding and Roughing penalties are also extremely one sided.

Sorry, losers cry about the refs. Does KC gets calls sometimes? Sure, like the Pats, 90s Bulls, etc got.

im sorry but crying about the refs before the game has been played is so weak. We need to stop the victim complex. What’s a bigger story? The likable, “underdog” Bills trying to win their first SB or the Chiefs going again? Also with all the talk about this, do you think the nfl is going to try and cheat for KC?

my old coach used to tell us that accept that the refs suck. But be so good that it doesn’t matter. I pray the Bills aren’t so weak minded.

But what will Bills fans cry about if it is a “fair” game? Such a loser mindset.

Call a penalty on us every play and we’ll still beat you.

That, or Josh's fiance needs to host the entire cast of The Avengers in her box.

She's not an Avenger anymore afaik. They kept her out of all of the followup projects. Someone more nerdy than me probably has these details

doubt it has anything to do with the Bills.  its the NFL trying to shut up all the gamblers who are turning the NFL into a weekly conspiracy due to the refs.  ill take it though,  should at the very least give us a fair shot at the game.

I've been operating under the assumption for quite some time now that if the Bills are to ever reach the promised land then they will need to be better than the other team and the officials at some point(s) along the way. It's just what I've accepted as part of being a fan.

No I don't think it's a grand anti-Bills conspiracy.  I just believe that officiating in the NFL overall has reached comical WWF levels and the chances it can bite you in the ass when the stakes are highest are decent. Therefore be good enough to take bad officiating out of the equation.

Basically the same mindset that Texans players spoke about after they lost last week.

It’s in the league’s interest for the Bills to win the Super Bowl. Not only is Allen money, if the Bills are world champions their following and value become gold-plated, eliminating any possible threat associated to moving a team into the fourth-largest market in North America.

Just to play devil's advocate - I mean if the league needed a ref to change a game in the favor of the chiefs after all the talk this week

Blakeman is the guy, no one will question it because of his history

Interesting note I saw:

Despite Blakeman's crew being one of the most flag happy in the NFL, Clete Blakeman himself has only thrown three RTP penalties all year, which is the second fewest in the league.

Guarantee at least once today, Mahomes will scramble toward the sidelines, slow down like he is going out of bounds, and then turn upfield for another 10 yards or more.

When it happens, I hope he gets blasted into the 1st row of the stands.
