Maybe in 2020 it was. Now it's not. This is the Championship of the AFC and it's a must-win. This is definitely not house money … not in Year 7 of Josh Allen … its hard to get to this stage of the season …. Even with a “better” team next year, there will be no guarantees they get to the last 4 . Particularly in this current version of the AFC… i also think there is a little bit too much of the “nobody gave them a chance” … maybe those D Heads in the media wrote them off ( again) , but plenty here expected another Division winning season …and then you see what happens with Josh Allen on board Quote
Straight Hucklebuck Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago We can beat the Chiefs. I left that stadium against the Ravens believing that. This offensive line was able to move the Ravens out of the way. The defense was able to slow Henry down. This team is not scared. As a fan I wish Rapp hadn’t done that to himself. If everyone can go this week, the Bills are a better football team. 1 Quote
GoBills808 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago We have exceeded my preseason expectations by exactly one game at this point I guess that's something to be very happy about but I don't think it's at all unreasonable to want more 1 1 Quote

Gregg Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I will be crushed if they lose on Sunday. I know this was supposed to be a rebuilding year somewhat but to come within 2 wins of the ultimate goal and lose would hurt bigtime. Quote

We have a neighbor nobody likes. I’ll call him Gene, because his name is Gene. He’s a cantankerous retired litigator. We are polite and everything, we say hello and he came to the holiday party at our house, but nobody likes that ass. My wife said “I get along with him just fine. I know who he is and what he is, so I just never expect anything more than that from him.” You can decide how you are going to look at things to some extent. 2 of the greatest prayers ever written are the Serenity Prayer and the Prayer of St. Francis. They both have beautiful yet common themes. And before our game with KC, I will be mindful of these amazing words. 2 Quote

A team that lost veteran safeties, a stud WR, other departures. Win or lose vs KC, I’m at peace with our team. If we win, awesome. If we lose, it happens. Im very relaxed about this year’s team. Can only get better. I actually feel a huge weight off the shoulders after beating the Ravens the other night. I think it’s because I really wanted to beat them and stop all the Lamar is better than Josh talk, because I think Josh has been criminally underrated this season (more than even in the past). And also because I have a lot of confidence that we can repeat the same thing against the Chiefs this weekend. So many teams have been letting them off the hook this year, were the only ones that haven’t. And I would be surprised if in some way we let them off the hook this weekend, rather than Josh and team do everything in their power to get this team back to the Super Bowl. I would be shocked if this team isn’t ready to ball out on Sunday night, and put a stop to that stupid tomahawk chop as well. 1 1 1 1 Quote

You can put me down for that as well. 😊 The question is, where are we on the spectrum ranging from”oh well” to “BURN THIS THING DOWN!!!” On second thought, let’s just not find out. Positive vibes. Mikie2times Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Even if our expectations were tempered heading into the year, we have a team that is capable of competing for a Super Bowl. Reaching an AFC Championship game is incredibly difficult, and as a Bills fan, it’s a rare experience—one that doesn’t come around often. For most of us, it’s something we may only experience a handful of times in our lives. Each time it happens, it carries a deep meaning. We saw the Bills in the 90s enjoy incredible regular season success, but ultimately fall short when it mattered most, and the disappointment of that lasted as a fan. This year has been one of the most exciting and successful in the franchise's history, and while it's been a thrill, I can't deny that there would still be a sense of disappointment if we fall short of reaching the Super Bowl. The significance of the Super Bowl, especially after the heartbreak of the 90s, is hard to put into words. The nostalgia it would bring, the emotional weight of being back there. For me, personally, the thought of them making it to the Super Bowl would stir up all sorts of emotions from my past. So, while it's been an amazing season, it’s hard to say that not reaching the Super Bowl wouldn’t be a disappointment. But still, it's been a really fun year and if it doesn't happen you just transition into College Basketball, knitting, or bourbon. Quote
ColoradoBills Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Every individual fan can decide for themselves if they think this season is good, bad or indifferent. I will bet my bottom dollar Josh Allen had his sights set on one prize this season. That sight is a victory in the Super Bowl. A whole lot of fans thought that was foolishness at the start of this season. We all know how we felt about that, one way or the other, at the beginning of this season. For those who started the season thinking the Super Bowl was a pipe dream, well now it's in sight. I personally believe in Josh and his goal. 3 Quote

I'm just getting caught up on this thread and as soon as I saw @LABILLBACKER's Buddhist reference the first thing that came to mind was "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change...". It's kind of ridiculous to apply it to a football team winning or losing vs. what you went through with your son. And yet I'm 100% on board with the sentiment wrt the Bills. 1 1 1 Quote

It doesn't matter if they exceeded expectations. They are here now. Have a great opportunity. They've earned the right. With an elite QB, you need to be able to get over the hump (KC) eventually. These opportunities aren't guaranteed each year. Losing 4/5 years to these guys just isn't acceptable for me. Sorry. Did you anticipate that the Bills would make it to the AFC Championship before the season started? 1 Quote
JROC INTEL Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago We need multiple Super Bowl wins, raise the bar. We can recover from 3 losses to KC, idk about 4. This game is huge for multiple reasons but to me that’s the biggest. We have the potential to start our own dynasty and it would be great to start now. Quote

So please be gentle when pointing fingers at one person IF we come up short. Quote
